Twisted Fish was the perfect house for our family! Had ages 1 to 68 with plenty of room for all. Younger kids loved the pool !

Great vacation at Twisted Fish
We all had a great time! From the grandparents to the kids to the grandkids. The heated pool was great as we had cooler than normal weather. The pool area seemed not ready for a busy summer. Weeds growing in all the cracks and very few chairs around it. Overall we will definitely be back to this house.

Successful beach vacation.
We have stayed at this property two other times, it’s a great house for our group of adults and little ones. We would stay here again. Thank you Beach Realty. The pool heat was compted and that was much appreciated.

Great bones for a great vacation
Twisted Fish is located right by a lifeguard tower at the beach, which is a priceless peace of mind if you have little ones. The home’s kitchen and great room are laid out beautifully for family meals and games. Kitchen is well stocked with cookware and games are available to play. The large deck makes it easy to enjoy the spectacular ocean view! The pool size is awesome & hot tub is great!
Upon arrival, we did have to re-wash several linens that did not seem clean, housekeeping had missed some dirty items underneath sinks & the rugs in the main living areas did not appear to have been vacuumed (frankly, they could probably be replaced).
Overall, I would recommend staying here to someone, but I would tell them that they would probably be more comfortable bringing their own sheets & be prepared to re-clean the place upon arrival.

A week in the Outer Banks
Overall Twisted Fish was a great house for our large, diverse group. the few minor repairs that we noted were addressed quickly, but there were issues with the cleanliness of some of the bathrooms even after the cleaning crew came back to take care of them they were not up to standard. the elevator was a blessing and the beach was super. The kitchen was well equipped but could have u sed more plastic lidded containers for leftovers. The pool was clean and enjoyed all week. It was an awesome week and we miss it already There was mold on shower curtains and in the showers that should have been taken care of.

Great for Family Vacation
We have rented this property for the last 3 years and really like it. The house was very clean when we arrived and it appears well maintained. It's in the quieter part of South Nags Head and the beach is not too crowded in early June. Any repair issues have always been promptly handled. It is well equipped to accommodate the 11 members of our family.

Great house! Large enough for my entire family!
This was our second summer staying at the Twisted Fish. We found the house to be in tip top shape. Very clean. The kitchen is well stocked. My family enjoyed the private pool and hot tub. We did pay extra for the pool heater which is a must. Well worth the extra money. Because we have littles, we brought our own baby gates to keep little ones from falling down the stairs. I would recommend this house.

Our overall satisfaction rating would be 5-very satisfied. The overall condition of the property is pretty good although we have observed an accumulation of deferred maintenance. Nothing that interfered with our vacation but we did have to call for maintenance on several items. Rating 3-generally satisfied. The house was very clean when we checked in except for one bedroom on the first floor that had not been finished until we reported it. We were surprised that the pool and hot tub were not serviced during the week we were there. Rating 4-satisfied. We found Beach Realty to be very responsive when we contacted them and they are easy to work with making a reservation, processing payments, and notifying you when the property is ready to check in.

Twisted Fish was an amazing vacation rental home.
We loved the home. It was large enough for my family. The kids had plenty of room to play. The kitchen was well stocked. We loved the large kitchen seating so we could all eat dinner together. The pool was amazing. The beach front was amazing with beautiful sun rise every morning.
Only thing I would suggest to the owner would be some working baby gates and a deadbolt lock on the ground floor door. We had a couple of littles escape out that door but luckily we caught them before they got to far into the driveway.
One more thing, it would be nice to get into the house earlier in the afternoon. 4 pm or later is unacceptable as we are paying for 7 days but are cheated out of the first day because we can’t get in any earlier.
Over all a great home and would rent again.

The best week ever
We have been coming to the Outer Banks for the last six years with the same group of people. This year everyone said that the Twisted Fish was a winner and everyone felt like it was their home rather than a rental home. It was the best home we have had yet and it was comfortable beyond our comfort zone. The house was clean and fully stocked. The layout was magnificent and the beds were sooooooo comfortable. Such easy access to the beach and the pool and hot tub were clean and sooooo much fun. It was the best week ever.

Perfect for Three Families
This was our second year renting this property and we will return next year. The kitchen was completely remodeled from last year. Our only complaint is that the lawn crew had obviously ignored the rear area of the house. There were weeds all around and in the pool deck and the steps to the beach were overgrown with weeds. Simple problems to fix. The layout of the house easily accommodated our three families as well as some overnight guests. The elevator is a big plus for one family member and who doesn’t like using it on move in/move out days? The location in south Nags Head is more quiet and the beach larger than in the main part of the oceanfront.

Our only complaint is that the lawn crew had obviously ignored the rear area of the house. There were weeds all around and in the pool deck and the steps to the beach were overgrown with weeds. Simple problems to fix. The layout of the house easily accommodated our three families as well as some overnight guests. The elevator is a big plus for one family member and who doesn’t like using it on move in/move out days? The location in south Nags Head is more quiet and the beach larger than in the main part of the oceanfront.

Space is great, but rest is ok
Space and rooms are great. Layout was perfect. Location was great! No bad smells which is a plus. Light and airy. Mattresses were sub par for what we paid. Cleaning was sub par, unclean dishes in the dishwasher, dirty blankets in closet. The staff were amazing and helpful and took care of request almost immediately which was great and much appreciated! Thank you!

Ladies Get-Away Week
The Twisted Fish was as described. Although it was easy to pass by as the sign along the street is not very big or noticeable. The property was clean and well-maintained except for some weeds around the pool and hot tub fencing. The managing company was spotty on response with the a few issues. The hot tub blew a fuse and stopped working on day 2. The hot tub was fixed right away. Although we paid to heat the pool for the week, the heater was not working and was not repaired until half way through the week. The location of the house is very convenient to stores and local activities. It is just a short walk onto the beach and the views from the upper deck is fantastic. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes, pots and pans and everything you would need to cook in for a large group. What would have made the stay in the house a bit easier would have been a booklet or binder with information on working the TVs and surround system and local information. All in all, we 12 ladies had a wonderful time at the Twisted Fish.

Great House!
We stayed third week in May. Weather was mid 60's. We had paid to have the pool heated and it was a huge success. The water was warm enough for older people to stay in for house. Great Elevator! Good beds, good sheets and linens. Well equipted kitchen. Spotlessly clean and no musty smells!

Family Fun Time
House had everything we needed to have a great vacation. Location, description and layout was exactly as pictured. Family enjoyed the pool and hot tub. House was very clean. Walk to beach close, but lots of stairs. Totally enjoyed our stay.

Great family rental
The house is older and could use a bit of work but we knew that going in.. we also had an algae bloom issue in the pool the entire week which was disappointing. House was spacious, family friendly, and awesome location right on the beach! We had a great time. Staff was quick to respond with issues we had during our stay!

I wrote a review on VRBO already for the house and want to state again the house was impeccable with the location, furnishings, and service from Beach Realty. We rented a tent and chairs that came with a Yeti cooler from Beach EZ rentals and was a godsend. I left out on the other review that the house is next to a public access parking lot and at first I thought it would make the beach too crowded..however, it gave us a full time life guard which was a bonus.

Hurricane Arthur Vacation
Twisted Fish was one of the best rental properties we ever stayed in. The house was beautiful and the kitchen amenities were top of the line. It rained a lot since it was the week of the hurricane and we were stuck inside. The house was loaded with games, books and movies that kept us busy and having fun. The decor was tastefully done.
