Top Side was a perfect space for our family to get away. While some aspects of the property seem a little dated, the location was perfect, beach uncrowded, kitchen, living room, and balconies were great. Easy walk to downtown Duck for coffee and shopping on the "boardwalk". I would definitely recommend checking them out for a say.

We loved our stay at Top Side. The condo was very clean and had everything we needed for our stay. It even had some beach chairs and umbrellas. The beaches weren't crowded, even during a holiday weekend. We would love to stay here again!

We have been to the Outer-banks, specifically Corolla area, many times but normally we are with a large group and renting a house so this time was a little different staying in a condo. We chose this condo complex on a whim looking for a place to have a beach getaway after our wedding and we are so happy we chose Top Side as our spot. The condo was very clean when we arrived and the condo complex itself was very quiet and sat back from the main road in it's own little neighborhood, however wasn't so far back that you couldn't walk from the condo into downtown Duck, which we did almost every night we were there. The condo was steps away from the beach and pool, which was a huge plus. The property itself was clean and well kept. In the evenings we walked into downtown Duck area and hit up many of the restaurants and checked out some of the little shops. We will definitely be returning to Top Side in the future.

Visit was wonderful, recommend visiting the Maritime Museum, the Outer banks Lighthouses, Wild Horse Tours. Condo was very nice, good view of ocean, Management has very good customer service.

The condo was beautifully furnished with excellent views of the ocean and pool. Only complaint is we were on 3rd floor with no elevator so we had mutliple trips to go up and down stairs to unload and pack back up. But would highly recommend

Overall good experience. Air conditioning, wifi, and hot water all were reliable. Wifi was a little bit painful because you have to accept the t's and c's every few hours. Sheets on one bed had stains and request for replacements never was fulfilled (they said they'd refund the entire linens charge). Lots of stairs to get to the unit, but we knew that going in.

Topside was the perfect place to stay. It was a great location with nice views of the ocean. It was clean and well-maintained. We would stay here again.

We had a nice time in this pet friendly apartment. The beach area is just a quick walk from the room.
Plus, both patios face the beach so everyone can enjoy looking out over the ocean. While the stairs can feel daunting it really isn't so bad accept for unloading and loading the vehicle.

Great rental; beach front condo with plenty of space and nice updates. The condo was clean and rental company made our check in and check out seamless. The property has a great location on the beach with clean pool. Very family friendly.

This was our first time staying in the town of Duck, we usually stay in Corolla. This was a great location not only as far as distance to the beach but we were right by the duck waterfront shops which was great! Our stay was during the covid pandemic so being able to stay near the shops was nice, we were able to walk the long boardwalk and visit some shops and ice cream parlors. The condo itself was nice, with a very nice view. The condo was clean. The condo offers two decks with ocean view which was great, one being outside of the master. Overall pretty good there were some negative things about the condo, one being the tight kitchen, it was hard to keep the dishwasher open to transfer the dishes from the sink to the washer. The other bad thing was the amount of steps, didn't seem bad at first but with a toddler and two dogs it became a bit of an annoyance after a bit. I don't think the steps would have been as bad if we didn't have to go up and down them as often as we needed to. Ya know, two pups needing to go potty and a toddler needing to leave the beach early for nap or to do laundry.

My family and I have stayed at this location every year, it’s great! Short walk to boardwalk, shops and restaurants.

Nice size condo on the 3rd / top floor of a 3 story property. 49 stairs to the 3rd floor so plan ahead as there is no elevator. Beds were hard and very uncomfortable. WiFi very slow. Other than that, the condo was VERY nice with 2 balconies and great view of pool and ocean. Very clean kitchen! Nice furniture in "family room" area with nice TV. Pool and bbq area was great. Very large grass area and EZ parking, they even have tennis courts. Close to Duck Donuts :)

Our family enjoyed our stay here in Duck. The home was clean. The A/C did not perform well and that had to be dealt with during our stay but the company was responsive. The one complaint is that we did not know until we arrived that the unit was on the 3rd floor with no elevator. That should have been made clearer at time of booking.

We have been vacationing on the Outer Banks for about 15 years. We have stayed in many different places. This was one of our favorites. This was our first time staying in this condo. They updated the kitchen and hall bath this year and it looks beautiful. The condo was exceptionally clean even though not all the spaces have been updated. The location is great. It is on the beach and close to the quaint shops in Duck. We would stay here again!

The condo was exceptionally clean...one of the nicest condos we have ever rented. Although it could use some updating, it was still awesome. The view of the ocean was outstanding from the third floor balcony! The first time climbing the three flights of stairs was a little strenuous, but each trip up got easier��. The location was perfect for walking to the beach and downtown Duck.

Very clean area with beautiful views. Staff was friendly. This was our second year staying at Top Side and both experiences were relaxing and fun. Located near beach, pool, Duck boardwalk etc... Great for a family vacation!

Me and my family absolutely loved this condo! Everything about it was perfect, from the space, to the location, to the amenities. It's located on the third floor, so all the stairs were a bit overwhelming, but the actual condo itself was beautiful and exactly what I hoped for. I've stayed in many condos before, but this was hands down the best one!

My kids, grandkids and I had a great beach trip. Great location, short walk to the beach.

Have stayed here for the past three years, love the location in relation to the beach and pool. Close enough to walk to everything you may need.

We went to Topside the second week of September and had a nice relaxing time. The condos were quiet and the atmosphere was relaxing. Always enjoy the Duck area and this resort is right at the outskirts of Duck easily accessible by bicycle. Would go back again.

This was our family's second stay in this property, we love the location of this condo as it is so close to the beach and pool. They property itself is in desperate need of updating. The kitchen drawers either stick or fall out when opening and the fridge leaked the entire trip. We were left a note of the leak however it was never fixed while we were vacationing there. In the Master bathroom the shower faucet is difficult to turn and the walls themselves are peeling. While we love the location it would be much more enjoyable if everything was functioning properly and you didn't need to "figure" out what might be working properly and what is not. That being said we would rent here again simply for the location.

These places have been around forever. While the outside buildings need work, the grounds and interiors were in pretty darn good shape. This unit is dated unlike some of the others, but perfectly suitable, clean and equipped. Its a kitchen for modest cooking, so if you 're a foodie it may not be for you. Also, not having a washer/dryer was not great BUT it was easier than I thought to quickly do laundry downstairs. The salt water pool is a definite bonus. The best thing were all the families and kids. Felt like we were at family camp. Easy walk to beach. Nice views from all units. Great location, can walk to Duck and shopping easily. We had a great time! We locked ourselves out and management came quickly.

Kitty Hawk Rentals is great to work with. The condo was a bit dated but we knew that going into it. We also were fully aware of the four flights of steps to the unit but if anyone has someone in their party with knee or back problems they may want to reconsider.

I stayed here in August 2015. This 3rd floor condo was perfect for my family. It had views of the pool, basketball court, and ocean from the balconies. The beds were comfortable and the furniture was fine for the beach. The walk to the beach is short and the property has plenty of room for playing catch or frisbee and there are tennis courts. There is no elevator, which would have been nice for move in and move out day, and the Saturday drive up Hwy 12 to Duck were the downsides.

Very good location, The beach and the pool were located close enough for our kids (teens) to run back and forth. The Only negative is that need to be a way to get your luggage and groceries to floors above as even the 1st floor is up a flight (17 steps). We were on the third floor. Great otherwise from check-in to check-out.

We normally go to OBX with a large family group and stay in a big house. This year it was just my little family of 3 and a couple of friends so the condo was just right. The best part of our stay was the quick access to the beach. It was perfect! And the condo pool was nice, clean, and not crowded. We had a wonderful week.

Our over-all experience was an enjoyable one. The unit, kitchen/bath areas slightly dated, but really clean, and kitchen well stocked. The grounds and pool were well maintained. It also came with linens. However, they weren't in the unit, but they did give them to me. I already had my own items to carry up all these stairs, so it would have been nice, it the linens had been in the unit. Location was conveniently located. The view was very nice...there is no screen on the sliding door, in the living room, and it would have been nice to be able to turn off the A/C and open the sliding doors to listen to the surf. This unit would be a challenge for someone with mobility problems as there are a total of 48 steps...staff advised me upon securing the unit that there were approx. 20-30. If I had know there were 48, I wouldn't have secured this unit, due to knee problems. Had adequate exterior lighting, has coin washer/dryer under the units, but never used to rate.
