Home Away from Home

This was our 17th year staying at Station Four. The layout is perfect for our families. The appliances are in good working order. Kitchenware, pots and pans met our needs. It's great to have the washer and dryer. We love the location away from the public beach access. We sent some suggestions/recommendations for the owners to the realtor. We are booked for next year and look forward to returning to our home away from home.

The home overall is great. We have vacationed here every year since 2014. There have been some improvements made during this time. We found a few minor issues this year and reported them. Hopefully they will be resolved when we go back next year. Love the location and hope to enjoy for years to come.

The house was clean and the location was great. Second level deck provided great views of the beach. The water pipe to the hot water heater broke leaving us with no hot water. Response and repair was very fast. Only thing I would recommend is a wooden walkway from the home to the top of the dune. Not a deal breaker. I was kept up to date about everything prior to our stay, good communication. The only issue was the one bed on the bottom bunk had a thin mattress allowing you to feel the wooden cross member's

We have been going to Station Four for 16 years. It is truly our ;2nd home;. It has everything our family needs to enjoy a week at the Outer Banks. From ample parking for our family to spacious rooms and a layout that allows for gathering together or getting some peaceful time alone. Only criticism is there is now a walkthrough over the dunes next to the house. There were a lot of people from across the street using the walkthrough. This takes away from what used to be our own front yard beach and is

Station Four beach house is a wonderful house to spend your vacation. It is always clean and neat and everything in working order. It feels like home to us every year. The only complaint I have is some of the frying pans are not very good. We cook most of our meals. Great vacation home otherwise.

We love this rental house and have stayed here for 15 straight years in Late august or early September. A few small issues this year were we arrived early Sunday at 2:30 but werent give the house access code until 4:00 even though the house had been cleaned and was ready. It would be nice if the house had a ;no beach access; sign. We had people across the street cross under our house a few times when our cars werent there.

Have stayed here with my family for around 20 years. The house is always nicely maintained and the location cannot be beat. As a 50 something sleeping in the 'dorm room' I would love to see new quality mattresses next year.

We have been staying at Station4 for 15 years. It is truly our home away from home. The location is perfect. Its on the beach with plenty of space between it and the neighboring houses. It is not near the public beach accesses which cuts down on people gathered in front of the house - your own private yard. The owners have made several nice improvements in recent years including remodeling the bathrooms and the kitchen. The sofa and loveseat are starting to show some wear is the only negative.

I don't even know where to begin with this rental! The entire layout and design of this house is exactly what we were looking for. This oceanfront location made for one of the best vacations my family has ever experienced. The views from each floor are amazing, the fact that you're 30 steps from the ocean is incredible, the location is remarkable, and the house is downright one of the coolest ones around! My family and I really enjoyed our stay at station four. Being able to see and hear the ocean was the best part for us. The house was clean and well maintained. The kitchen had everything you needed to prepare meals. The oceanfront decks were also a big plus as well as the proximity to the ocean.

We absolutely loved this beach house. The decks were fantastic our only complaint is that there were multiple spindles that were either lose or completely broken which made it a hazard for our toddlers. We monitored them closely though so we all got to enjoy the breathtaking views.
The walk to the beach is effortless which was perfect for hauling toys and for our elderly parents. Only side note was that the outdoor shower was caked with sand and there was no path to get back to the house without walkin

We had a wonderful vacation at Station Four. It was our first time using this home. You cannot beat the location right on the beach, and the upper and lower deck is great, because in the heat of the day you can go to the lower deck to get out of the sun, and other times you can go to the upper deck, both have awesome views! My only complaints would be there are no movable deck chairs (a recurring complaint on this house from other reviews, and easily and cheaply remedied IMO) and to do laundry you have t

We have stayed in this house before, and it is a great house for a beach vacation! It sits directly on the beach and has excellent views of the ocean, right outside the window! The kitchen, dining and living area is upstairs and all open, with a sliding door to the open deck. Bedrooms are comfortable. Nicely furnished and kitchen is pretty well-stocked. Only thing is there is no deck furniture, a couple of benches on the top deck and built in benches along the railing of the covered deck, so bring along som
