Beach vacation
I sent an email, everything was wonderful, two showers glass doors were falling off, and the sweeper was clogged so badly that the floors were not clean, so I cleaned out the sweeper and swept the floors everyday.. also my granddaughter forgot a silver pineapple necklace with a pearl in it if anyone finds it, I will pay the shipping to have it sent back, thank you

Good Bones, but Could Use Some Updates
The house is in a perfect location, right on the beach and has all the amenities my family loves (pool, hot tub, screened in porch and enough bedrooms for all!). However, you can tell the property needs some TLC. There was mold everywhere, a literal mushroom had grown on the ceiling in one of the bedrooms. There were ants in the house immediately upon arrival and we saw roaches at the end of the week. It needs more housekeeping than the quick sheet changes and vacuuming I assume they do between guests. A week at the (practically private beach
We have been coming to this house for years and we LOVE this old house; Practically private beach!!! Plenty of room for family! Small issue of Hot tub not heating this year...We assume the issue is with scheduling repairs post COVID...We are coming again! (And we hope again and again and again...)

Old Beach Farm House
Our family had a wonderful stay in this old house with lots of charm, plenty of space to spread out and have your own private time. The property is old and needs some cosmetic repairs, if you like new and updated this is not the place. My family loved it. The one problem we had was handled quickly and professionally, the staff was really helpful.

I love this house!
We come every year and we love this house so much. 9 bedrooms, great spaces for family, great pool, and amazing beach access. Love being in Southern Shores, easier to get to the house and close to many things.

It rained, but so what!
We are repeat customers for this house. For the first time this year everything wasn't spotless when we moved in, the roof leaked with high winds and driving rain. We blamed it on COVID and we went ahead and had a great time! We had a private beach, private pool and a hot tub to relax and enjoy our vacation. Our family only ate restaurant foods 2 times because we love to cook for each other. This house is great for the large family experience. its so large we invite our cousins!

Family Vacation
Space was perfect for our family. Loved the location. It was so easy to get to the beach and go back and forth as needed. A lot of the time we pretty much had the beach to ourselves. Had a little issue with hot water and water pressure on the second floor. The one end of the house had really hot water and the kitchen and other side of house had lukewarm water at best. Bathrooms could use an update. We will be back next year!

Great budget for the area and what you get!
This was a great place to stay and not spend a fortune on. You get private ocean access, swimming pool, hot tub, and plenty of rooms throughout. It even has a in law suite! We went over the Memorial Day weekend and wish the pool was heated, but otherwise jump in the hot tub and relax!!!!

A Shore Thing is a sure bet!
Great Getaway from COVID-19! Private beach! Private Pool! Hot tub! We love to cook and just stayed at the house! Plenty of surf fishing, dolphin sightings, sand crabs, anoles (look like little lizards...) A nature class for the little ones!

Older home with lots of room!
This older home gave us all of the amenities we needed to create another wonderful beach vacation. The porch was awesome and the new outdoor furniture was exceptional. It was nice to be oceanfront, but the beach was further away then we were used too and you couldnt see the ocean from the house unless you went to the upstairs deck. None of the bedrooms have TVs in them but honestly no one missed this.

A Shore Thing - Perfect for Our Family
This is our fifth year at this house - it has never let us down. What we like most about this house is that it drives everyone to spend time together - some homes are multiple floors with multiple rooms to spend time together and can "separate" people. This house gets everyone to spend time together at the pool, at the beach, or in the living/dining room. It's great.

Outer Banks - 2016
We had amazing time, as always, at this house. This is our fourth year at this house, and the second year where we booked two weeks. The house is great for us, we like having a lot of people (20+) and this house helps keep us together without feeling crowded. Other houses separate people, this one makes everyone feel together. The beach was amazing, pool is great, and the house is located nearby shopping, food, and Duck, which is great. We will be back again next year!

The Porpoise of Vacation
We were able to vacation with many of our cousins at this large house. One happy moment was when my son ran back to the house to tell us the "dolphins were migrating." We ran down to our practically private beach and were treated to groups of 3 and 4 dolphins leaping and playing along the shore. Then my nephew told us they weren't dolphins they were porpoises! We love this place and hope to return year after year. Its how our cousins get acquainted.

A Shore Thing
This is the 6th year we've stayed at A Shore Thing. This older home is the perfect setup for our family. The setting is wonderful, and the pool is beautiful. The price is appropriate for a property of the size and location, and updating has occurred during the time we've been renting here. However, some things need doing. Carpets are very dirty, AC vents need cleaning, couches need replacing, a pane of glass has been missing for years, etc. The emergency repair we requested was taken care of quickly a
