Great location!
Shore Break was a in a great location in the Sanderling community. 2-3 minute walk to the beach (great for those traveling with older family members or small children) on a very quiet street. Could see the ocean and hear the waves from the deck. House is a bit tired and could use some TLC, especially new bedding (including mattresses). A few items need to be replaced (carafe base of Keurig was scorched, iron was unusable and no ironing board and no non-stick pans). Basic kitchen items were not stocked - measuring cups, no colander, whisk, baking sheet, serving platters and bowls). The layout is ok - if you don't mind sharing a bathroom, it was nice having all bedrooms on the same level. Top level was a nice gathering space. Beach Realty did a great job responding to requests for service during our stay, both in timeliness and in performing the requested service. If you don't mind not having a private pool and/or hot tub and separate bathrooms for each bedroom, this property is a good value for beach proximity alone. With a few updates and some attention to detail it would be worth a repeat rental.

Back to the OBX after a few years.
We truly enjoyed our stay at Shore Break. It was a great location and close to the beach access, which was convenient for trips back and forth (as needed). After a few years, since our last trip to the OBX/Duck area, it was a reminder of why we used to go every year. Already thinking about next year!!

Terrific Location
We really loved the location and quick access to beach access. We visited with my daughter & son in law & their children. We did need to call for maintenance service during the week for a minor issue that didn't negatively impact our stay and staff was responsive and took care of the issue. We loved the BBQ area & all the extras included with the house: cornhole boards, bikes, chairs, etc. The home is well maintained considering the age. One area of improvement could be the mattresses...especially in the two twin room and the Queen closest to the bunk bed/twin rooms. The twins are probably fine for smaller kids, but not great for an adult. The Queen didn't offer much support for two adults. We would stay here again...just will switch guests around in rooms to find better fits for beds if they are replaced when we return.

Wonderful place. No trash bags though.
Delightfully kept place. We were so happy. It would have been nice to have at least one trash bag upon arrival though. After traveling far to get to the OBX, even just one trash bag would have been so helpful for us until we got provisions the next day. We want to keep the place clean, please give us a way to do that.

a lovely vacation home
Many times to the Outer Banks, first time in this house. Found it to be as described in my favorite neighborhood. Quiet area, easy access, beautiful beach and comfortable, welcoming house.
Did alot of cooking--house could benefit from
some new pots and pans.
Bike were great-tho one had a flat. Loved the double outside shower.
A great house for a family. Know that the bunkbed room is a little tight if your kids are older.

Fantastic vacation!
This home was the perfect get away! Comfortable and fully equipped. Close to the beach and not in a crowed area. The management company was excellent. They continually stayed in contact and were very accommodating.

It was great to escape from COVID jail and spend a week relaxing at the beach with family. Plenty of room for the six of us and liked the open atmosphere on the main floor and the dual showers outside. No problem maintaining social distancing on the beaches in this area. Some challenges with a less than optimal beach umbrella (provided at the rental) and a couple roaches but would definitely come back and have already recommended to a few friends.

We love Shore Break!
We have stayed at Shore Break several times and really enjoy this home. It is perfect for single families or smaller families sharing the space. Our only complaint this year was with the cleaning service. We left a bathing suit on the deck and was really hoping to get it returned. We recognize it was our fault, but it took several tries to get the cleaning staff to return our calls, and even when we left our information, we never received a call back. Finally, when pushed, they said they never found the suit. We actually called the new tenets the day they moved in and there was no suit there, so we know the cleaning service found it. Again, it was our carelessness that left it, but I hoped they would have been more helpful in retrieving it.
Other than that, the location is wonderful, the house was clean and the accommodations comfortable. We make use of the provided bikes and enjoy biking around Sanderling. We also really enjoy the subdivision of Sanderling and take advantage of the resort amenities.

Great Week at Shore Break

I've been vacationing in the Outer Banks for more than 35 years and this home has been one of my favorites. My family and I started staying in Duck about 6 years ago as the Nags Head area has become pretty congested. This is our second year in this house and we love it. It has all the comforts of home while being close to the beach. We love the bikes and use them daily during our stay. Having a kayak is another great touch and we hope to have a chance to use it next year. This is definitely a home away from home for us. ❤

Great Sanderling Spot!
This is a well located house at the end of a cul de sac in Sanderling, with views between houses to the ocean and a short walk to the beach. House was very comfortable, in pretty good shape for an older house, and had nice amenities like two outdoor showers, bikes and a kayak.

Nice, dog friendly rental...
The house was nice; however, too many steps for the older generation. This house is perfect for a big family or multi-families sharing a vacation especially with children. It is walking distance to the beach, which was really nice. I was grateful that this was a dog friendly rental. Lots of dogs in the neighborhood, which was nice. I would recommend this property to a friend with a big family cuz it had a lot of room.

Lovely week
Great living area, amazing location! We listened to the ocean to fall asleep every night. The porch is a gem. And having yard space is such a rarity. The bedrooms are a bit small, but who goes to the beach to hang out in their bedroom? We will be back.

We had a great week. House location to the beach was great. Neighborhood is quiet and peaceful.
There is some needed work in the house that needs to be done for us to return. All carpet needs to be replaced. TV upstairs needs to be replaced.

Nice place in a nice location, close to the beach. Rental agency very nice and helpful. Only downside was being pet-friendly and parts of the house had that distinct pet smell. If not for that I would definitely rent it again.

Nice Getaway
This was our first time at this property and it worked for adults and young kids (and dog!). House was clean, could hear/see ocean from deck, neighborhood was quiet and private. Truly a nice getaway!
