Nice house on the beach with lots of interior space
This house had plenty of room for our large group of several families. The rooms were larger than they look in the pictures which was a nice surprise and everyone had plenty of their own space too. Most of the beds were very comfortable and there was plenty of seating in the living room and game room. We would have liked it if the outdoor spaces were a little larger with more seating, but it worked fine. The parking was a little tricky but we made that work as well. We really enjoyed to pool and hot tub and the beach right outside our door was really great! The steps to the beach were a little old and tricky so we had to be a little careful there, but it was so great to have the nice beach right there. We saw dolphins everyday! The location was nice, very close to everything and our teenagers could walk to the pier, ice cream shops and play mini golf in the evenings. This was a great house and we had a great time there!

Amazing house!
This was the best vacation, especially with the amazing heated pool and hot tub on the ground floor! Views of the beach were also astounding. House was beautiful. Lots of stairs!

Great amenities, location and views, but needs a little attention
Overall we very much enjoyed our stay at Serenity Nags Head. The house was located in a great spot, very spacious and housed all 16 of us comfortably. Beds were decently comfortable and bathrooms were clean and functional. Plenty of living and rec space. Decks were mostly refreshed recently except for the walkway over the dune which was very worn. The kitchen was decently stocked and the HVAC systems worked well. Heated pool and hot tub very nice. Our major concern was a poorly attached threshold at the top of the stairs the broke the first time someone stepped on it and grout crumbled down the stairs. I alerted the company immediately but no one ever came to repair it so we had to avoid a significant trip hazard all week. Many blown light bulbs or broken switched and one broken kitchen drawer were also a bit of a bummer. Overall a great week but some attention timely maintenance would be a big plus.

Serenity stay - fall 2023
The location of this rental was excellent. We went both north and south and found this location to be perfectly in the middle. It was close to grocery and ice cream!
The beach location was awesome - cross the berm and you’re on the beach.
The house had enough room for all of us (we didn’t use all of the bedrooms. It was clean and had all of the cookware required.
The pool and hot tub were great. The grandkids and adults loved it - just steps from the beach. The ability to rinse your feet before coming into the pool area surely kept the sand minimal.
The tropical storm was a bit scary on the last evening with no power but the power company was right on it and resolved within a few hours.
Overall we had a wonderful fall week!

Good for Families With Young Kids
We had a lovely time at this property. The location is excellent, beach access is great, and the pool and hot tub were well-maintained. The kitchen was fairly well-stocked in terms of cooking utensils which was a great surprise for a beach house.
Only two items to call out: First, the house was not as clean as I would have hoped (some pretzels on the living room floor from previous guests and one shower in pretty rough shape) but it wasn't a deal-breaker. We were able to check in an hour early, which made the lighter clean more acceptable. Second, the back deck is very rough and one of the children in our party got a splinter. It looks like the wood around the pool was replaced but none of the other back decking, including stairs and balconies.
Overall, this was a great house to have several young families in - very comfortable and convenient.

Serenity at Nags Head Rental
Overall we had a great stay! House size was perfect for our group- loved the 5 King bedrooms with their own bathrooms. The 2 pyramid bunk rooms were ideal as well. Pool and hot tub were in great condition and a welcome respite after a day on the beach.
We notified maintenance about several items- raised nails on decking, leftover tent frame at end of walk to beach needing removal, and an unsightly stain in the toilet (which turned out to be result of hard water); excellent maintenance service though understandably due to these being lower priority issues, it did take a couple days before they made it to the house.
In the negative side, the kitchen was quite disorganized with pots, pans, lids, cutting boards, utensils in multiple different cabinets. Also there were only 3 wine glasses for this large house.
Aside from this, we could rate the house 5 Star for meeting our needs and being as described.

Great Family Vacation!
Tough to beat beachfront property in Outer Banks, this property was great and served the needs of our family. Large dining area and kitchen allowed us to eat in every night. Only thing to point out is that some of the kitchen / utensils were very dirty so we decided to re-wash, but other than that, the place was clean and we were happy to stay there. We would be back!

Overall, pretty good experience. Beautiful location on the beach. Nice pool and hot tub. Nice open floor plan. Great to have 2 refrigerators. Easy to clean. So nice to have fresh sheets already on the beds. Check in and out was easy. And, they let us check in an hour early without any hassle. Most bathrooms need more towel racks. I really like Beach Realty. They are professional and timely.

Great Trip
We stayed at Serenity in Nags Head with two other families. We had 14 people total. The house was bigger than we needed, but we liked having the extra room. The house was very convenient to the beach!! The pool was great, although we wish we would have paid to get it heated! It was a little colder than we thought it would be! The hot tub was a nice way to warm up after swimming. There was some wear and tear, but that is to be expected in any rental home! The house smelled clean as we walked in, but we did have to wipe down the coffee table/end tables/kitchen counters. There were plenty of pots and pans, however there is no "extras". It would have been nice to have a spice rack so we didn't have to buy spices. Overall, we had a great time. The views were spectacular! The views of the sunrise was amazing!

Overall we had a great time and loved the location of this rental! Being right on the beach was so much easier with several young kids. Also, close to shopping, restaurants and other attractions.
However, it seemed like the general maintenance of this property was lacking. Broken shower head in one bathroom, bad light switch in the jack and jill bath, deck boards were pretty terrible (nails popping up all over) windows won't stay open unless you prop them up and one of the kitchen stools had loose spindles and ended up collapsing midweek.
All that being said, there was plenty of room for all 18 of us and we did not let that ruin our week! Had a great time at the beach and in the pool.

Best beach vacation ever!
Our entire family went on vacation and I must say it was the BEST vacation we ever had. The property was gorgeous & the location was PERFECT. The view couldn't be better. The beds were very comfortable and the kitchen was fully equipped. The only thing is 1 out of the 2 dishwashers didn't work which was no biggie. We will definitely stay here again!!

Awesome Family Trip!
The trip was wonderful and they house was more than spacious enough for 3 families with 8 kids. The location can't be beat, and it was just so peaceful waking up and walking to the beach and watching the sunrise everyday. The only issue with this house in particular was that we had to refill the pool every morning as it lost about 5" of water overnight, every night. We paid to have it heated, which was worth every penny in mid-April, but having to fill it with cold water every morning kind of threw that off. Regardless, it didn't bug the kids too much so we were ok too. Additionally, the rental does not provide enough trash bags or dishwasher pods, so bring extras on your own. The house was beautiful and the outer banks is pristine, we will definitely be back!

Beautiful location to spend a week at the Outer Banks.
We loved our stay in this property. It was our second year i a row. As I am getting older I can see the steps to the top becoming an issue dragging up your luggage. Elevator would be nice & next year we will be picking one with an Elevator. Also Beach Reality is wonderful people to work with.

Everything was great. I could spend a lot of time going over everything that was positive. But there is too much. The house was not perfect, but the issues were minor. My only true complaint is that i was never told i NEED to download the app. Yet vital info was only in there. Or at least i couldnt found it elsewhere.

Great house and location
We stayed with 17 people, 5 families. The basement was a great space with a pool table and extra fridge freezer. We chose the 3 tween boys to stay in the room with 2 bunks and the teen boys to stay in the room with twin beds. They all shared the one bathroom but it worked. Second level had another double bunk room for 3 tween girls to share and 4 other bedrooms for adults. One jack and jill bathroom for girls and one adult room and all others had their own bathroom. Top level kitchen, living room, half bath and master bedroom with bathroom was perfect. All floors had balconies to see the ocean. Plenty of parking for all of the cars. Broken microwave handle and bathroom locks were fixed quickly by a very nice man with a mask (Covid times). We were happily surprised by some pool floats, board games, puzzles, and lots of kitchen items. It would have been nice to have more kitchen towels but we had lots of paper towels. Kitchen had a lot of utensils and pots and pans plus plenty of storage space for our things. The house location was great with a nice walking or biking path on Virginia Dare and biking distance to Jockey's Ridge and some stores.

Great Vacation
We were concerned with everything that was going on with Covid and if it was going to greatly affect our vacation. A very nice vacation home.
WE enjoyed our stay at Serenity. The house was very nice and equipped quite well. The first level smelled like mildew but the rest of the house was fine. I will warn that if you have any physical problems at all there is no railing to get into the pool and the beach access is not very easy because the steps are extremely steep. Due to that I was not able to get into the pool very easily nor was I able to go to the beach. The rest of the family had no problems.
We were able to go directly to the house because we were given an access code so that was good. I think if they could have texted me when house was ready it would have been a little easier than calling them to see if they house was ready. Their phones were always busy so you had to call many times.
The week we were there most restaurants were doing indoor seating with adjustments for the corona virus so waits could be long. Plenty of carry out available.
I would choose this house again except for the pool and beach access.

Great Beach House

Great Vacation Home
The bedrooms and bathrooms are all very nice.
Greatroom is spacious, comfortable, and well decorated. Kitchen is excellent with plenty of dishware, glassware, flatware and utensils. Pool, decks, and hot-tub are fine. Top deck has an unobstructed view of the pier to the North and miles of beach to the South. We enjoyed this home very much.

Durst review of rental
Overall rental was great, the items that needed fixed were done in reasonable time. Blinds in 2nd bedroom on 2nd floor are not working right. Plus the stairs to the beach are very steep. My wife fell down the steps, but wasn’t hurt. I did report this verbally over the phone.

Nice House - Beautiful Weather
The location was nice and having the heated pool was a plus, especially for April. The house was clean and the beds were comfortable. The washing machine was very small, especially considering how many people could be there, also, the dryer took two cycles to fully dry the clothes. Another issue was that all the door locks, except the keyed entry door, were very hard to lock and some interior doors didn't lock. We were a bit disappointed as well that the blinds in a lot of the bedrooms had been destroyed from the previous renters and hadn't been repaired so we were forced to cover the windows with beach towels to get privacy. We did have to call maintenance on two separate occasions for the pool heater, but they were fairly prompt in getting over to get it fixed. The wifi connection is very unstable and at one point had to be reset by maintenance because the router was in a locked room. The lowest level had a bit of a musty smell(think wet basement) and we chose not to use the bedrooms down there. We did enjoy our stay and was overall happy with the house, especially the price considering how big the house was. One other consideration is the beach re-nourishment program which was just getting started as we got there and will continue until the fall. Had to watch out for a large pipeline in the ocean.

House was perfect, a few issues on date of arrival, most of which were addressed but the next day, which was adequate. Some towels were laid out, some were under the sink, so check there if you are missing towels! Great beach access. Stairs to beach a little steep but manageable. We would rent again.

A Great place for a family get away
Serenity in Nags Head was just as described. The place was very clean and location was convenient for all activities. The dining table actually fit 16 so we were all able to eat together each night. The steps to the beach were very steep but the hand rail assisted us up and down. WE did have a problem one day with the AC, but it was 98 degrees that day. Upon inspection by many husbands it was determined that the filters and units should be cleaned and this might help out on hot days. Also, the fan in the bedroom directly under the 3rd floor bedroom needs to be re-aligned as it wiggles and makes noise. No other problems were noted during our stay. all in all, a great place!

We had a great time and will go back
We loved the house. It was perfect for our huge family. Plenty of seating for every one. Plenty of room. Lots to do. Very close to the beach. It has two refrigerators and two dishwashers which both came in handy. Very clean. I didn't feel the need to go cleaning before we got settled in. The only downfall for the house for us is the beds are extremely uncomfortable. Unless you love an extremely hard firm mattress then you will get a good nights sleep. A lot of complaints about the beds. Suggestions would be that we wish there were a few more things in the kitchen like regular tea spoons instead of large ones. The kids had a hard time eating with them. And basic small pots. We had to boil a pound of pasta in a huge stock pot because there's wasnt anything smaller. Other than that it was stocked with what we needed. And most of the bedroom and bathroom doors do not lock. They click but you can still open them from the outside. We did have a great time. It's an amazing house.

OBX revisited 2017
We had a wonderful time. The house was perfect for the 20 of us! Lots of room. Enjoyed being right on the beach and also having the pool right there. Would go back to the same house!

Flawless vacation at Serenity
Our week June 3-10 2017 was nothing but wonderful. We started with a wedding on Sunday and 23 of us stayed for the week. Our group ranged in age from 8 to 88 and everyone was satisfied. Plenty of space for privacy and quiet time escapes as well as plenty of opportunity for connection and lively fun.

Oceanfront at the Outer Banks
This was a very enjoyable week. Although some of the neighbors were over enjoying their stay (as in 1:30 AM in the pool way too often), the location and home were both very good. We had some small issues in the home with quick response on most from Beach Realty. But were really enjoyed our stay overall.

Family Reunion at the Beach
We were very pleased with the location, the property and our overall experience. The house was immaculate, comfortably furnished and in very good condition. The rooms were spacious and well decorated. The kitchen had everything you need for preparing meals for a large crowd. Having two dishwashers was great bonus! Our family was kept busy with the hot tub, swimming pool and pool table as well as the beautiful beach that was just steps from the door. The spacious great room was perfect for our family to play board games and do puzzles, with enough room to seat a small army for dinner. The location was great - close to shopping, restaurants and fishing piers. This house was the perfect week long getaway for our family reunion.

Fun and Relaxing Time!
The Vacation was great. Weather was fantastic!
Beach was fantastic and having a home right on the beach topped it off.
Only thing was the owners need to do some repairs once in a while. Two of the doors going to the main outside decks are in need of major overhauls. They both get stuck shut due to falling apart frames and also swollen from moisture. Hot tub needs to be repaired or replaced only one jet worked. Out of the three houses we have rented down there this one was nice but would have been nicer with some outside beach toys this was the only home that so far did not supply this type of stuff.
Also not really infant friendly as far as being able to gate off the stairs. Also need better WIFI this trip cost me big time in overages because WIFI was not reliable.

Love Serenity Beach House!
It was wonderful. So nicely furnished and rooms were so spacious. Only 2 things we recommend: 1) the gas grill did not work - no propane - should be fixed; and 2) the WIFI signal was very spotty and weak. Many times we couldn't connect when we wanted to and that was frustrated. The owner should get another router to boost the signal. Other than that, it was perfect. We will probably rent this home again next summer. It would also be really nice if you would allow renters to pick up keys earlier in the day - or switch to a secure code entry system - so there's no need to drive all the way back up to MP 2.5 in Saturday traffic....

property shows some wear however being a rental that is to be expected.ice maker had to be fixed, tvs on lower levels had poor reception,walls need to be painted due to scuff marks . Even with these concerns which are really minor, we really like this hopuse and will gladly rent it again
