Great house right at the water!

We had a great stay in Serendipity. It had everything we needed. A suggestion is that you get covers for the furniture that can be laundered because it is a pet friendly house, which makes living room furniture dingy fast. Everything else was great and the location was excellent for us!

Beautiful beachfront home

Our stay at Serendipity was wonderful! The layout of the home was great for our group up to 6 people. We enjoyed how open the living space was, with plenty of seating. The top deck was also great in the morning and after the beach. The home being dog friendly was a huge plus for us as we were able to bring our dog to the beach on days that weren't too hot. The location of the home is excellent - can walk to Avalon Pier and Goombays and a short ride away from many other great places.

A last minute getaway weekend

We found this great, 4 bedroom and 2 bathroom beachfront house for my wife and me and our adult son. It was perfect. great location, house was very clean, well-appointed, well maintained and cozy on a couple of rainy days.

Location, location....

This was the best vacation in a long time for us. It was a nice house and reasonable considering the price and the location. It is directly on the beach and a quick walk to the ocean! We loved it. The weather was really cold and windy and we didn't mind being inside at all. We cooked dinners and there was plenty of cookware and everything. It was clean and nice. We appreciate this rental being available and would love to go back anytime! The area was nice and had a small-town feel. LOVED the Wright Bros mus

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

The location could not be better! The beach is literally steps away. The view from the crows nest was awesome. We watched the sunrise from there everyday and hung out there every evening.
Serendipity is a quintessential older OBX cottage so if you want frills and fuss its not for you. Of course it could use updates, but it doesnt need them. The view and location more than make up for it.

Just wonderful

We were very, very happy with this rental. Very neat and super clean on arrival. I'm baffled by reviews calling for updates, because it needs none. The rooms are bigger and better than they look in the photos, the furniture comfortable and cleans. Beds and bedding were comfortable, too. Bathrooms are plain but very clean and useable. Charming little cottage

I loved this little cottage. Its cute and spacious enough on the inside, with an open floor plan and plenty of seating. But the outside is what made it for me! Several areas to hang out and enjoy the ocean view. Easy path to the beach. Others have commented about a soft/rotten spot in the floor of kitchen, which is still there.
