Oasis - D7975

We have rented Oasis before as it is very short walk to the beach and a short drive to restaurants and shopping. Kitchen is very well equipped and the pool is so nice! Will be staying here again.

We stayed at the Oasis the second week of September 2023. Overall the stay was wonderful and the property is very nice. We were lucky enough that Hurricane Lee went up the coast and left us with nice weather in the OBX. This house is older, but well maintained and was clean upon arrival. One or two of the bathrooms vanities and showers were in rough shape, but nothing too bad. The house has plenty of space and a nice kitchen/dining/living room area. Bedrooms are also on the larger side which was nice. The location is wonderful and as close to beach front as you can get without paying the beach front price. The walk to the beach is just over the cul-de-sac and dune path and you are there. The pool and hot tub were very nice as well. All in all a wonderful place!

We (7 adults, one infant, and some dogs) had a great stay at Oasis. The house is a little old, especially compared to surrounding homes (which were more expensive). But the location is perfect, very close to the beach. The layout of the house and configuration of the rooms were good. Amenities, including the pool and hot tub, were nice and well-maintained. One comment is that we would have liked to use the small room off the kitchen, but it was very hot. Overall an enjoyable experience at a reasonable price. The OBX restaurants have become destinations for some fine dining. Always something to do - we have stayed in Corolla for decades. Would highly recommend this house.

Bathrooms: Clean. Outdated- who cares. Served the purpose intended.
Pool: Pool was clean and somewhat private. Pool light available for night
Swimming.
Vacation Rental Management: Courteous. Had an issue where door code did not work. Made several calls just to leave a voicemail. Very frustrating!
Finally called the number for new rentals and help was sent. Took awhile to fix the problem and again it stopped working again that evening. They need to replace that code box. We ‘transposed’ 2 numbers and it worked great the rest of the week.
Would we stay here again: Definitely yes!
Hot tub: Didn’t use.

The kitchen is well stocked and cabinets are marked as to where everything belongs, very convenient. The house is well cared for and close to the beach and to shopping. Our family enjoyed our time there and would return.

Close enough to the water to see it AND hear it without paying ocean front prices. The walk to the beach is minimal; across the culdesac. The beach isn’t crowded! The pool is a great alternative to the sandy beach. The house itself is well equipped with plenty of space AND bathrooms. There were 8 of us plus two small dogs and we had room to breathe. Excellent location and accommodations.

This was our second year at this property. It’s in a great location, very close to the beach and in a smaller community so beaches are not crowded. Pool was nice. House overall is in good condition. Our only complain was that the house was very dirty this year. Floors were sticky, trash under beds, hair in showers, hair ties in sink. It was not like this last year. We did call rental property but by the time they could come All of our stuff had been unpacked and we would have had to move everything so just ended up cleaning ourselves. Not the owners fault of course but hopefully the remaining weeks of the summer were handled better.

We had such a lovely time! The house is right off the beach and the walk way is super close. I was worried with out geriatric pup, but she did great! The house has been painted white which threw me at first, but it was a wonderful home. Thank you!

the pool is fabulous my dad stayed in it almost always, dad just had knee replacement so the steps were a problem for him, mom was able to surf fish, every one of us had a great vacation (9) of us. will rent this properly again

Location was great - a short walk to the beach access, but quite a few steps over the dunes. Lots of room for the family, and a second full-size refrigerator at ground level was a huge bonus. The pool area is a good size with new patio furniture cushions. glad we brought our own umbrella since there is NO shade around the pool. It would have been helpful to have a binder in the house with general instructions as to where to find the pool light switches, wi-fi router, etc. The house was in fairly good shape, but the bathrooms need upgrades and maintenance. We did have to put in a maintenance call for a wi-fi access problem (remedied the same day) and replacement of multiple burned-out light fixtures (took two days). The property was clean for the most part. We found little orange cracker pieces on the floor in multiple rooms. You could tell the furniture had not been moved for vacuuming. There were beer bottle caps, empty cups, beer pong balls/cups and dozens of water balloon remnants on all the decks and in the carport area. The outdoor shower was scary - dark, dingy, and trash on the floor inside. No one wanted to go in there. We all just rinsed off using the hose next to the pool filter. Kitchen is a good size and well-equipped with cookware and even food storage containers.

Very easy check in. Located within easy driving distance to grocery stores, shopping and dining. The beach area was fantastic. Lots of room for our family. The pool was very nice and clean

House was situated on a beautiful culdesac, only a few steps away from a boarded walk to the beach. Pool was located at a perfect area, so it was in the sun all day long. Woke up to sparkling ocean sunrises. Great view from upper deck and you could hear waves crashing on beach clearly. Could also see sunset from upper deck.

Check in was a breeze as our home was available ahead of schedule. The house was strategically placed with inline sight of the ocean, between the two ocean front homes. The pool could use a new liner as build up of grime/algae has started to set in as well as noting one section had black duct tape on it. The bottom floor was able to accommodate a second fridge(easy access for on the way to the beach) and a washer dyer set. 2nd floor level has its own outdoor deck complete with clothes line. It also has 4 bedrooms of adequate size with 2 of them having a private bath. The 3rd and 4th bedrooms were able to share a bathroom without any issues. The upper level has an outside deck area with plenty of loungers and chairs to enjoy the sunrise in the mornings. Inside the upper level there is ample seating for many guests to eat at a kitchen bar area, full dining table seating for 6 or a separate high bar table for 4. The kitchen looks recently updated, minus the fridge which appears to have just been painted black to match the other appliances. We did note that after several heavy rains the first couple of days the ceiling had an area of plaster that fell to the ground and noting darkening of the ceiling in the higher areas. We reported to beach realty as they were to send people to assess and repair(they were most helpful on the phone). There is also a sun room off the kitchen that does not have AC and as it becomes very hot in the later season of summer it was not able to be used to the fullest, but I would think it would be nice to enjoy in the cooler months. The upper level bedroom was comfortable and the bathroom was fine, but was the only on the level as it had to be shared with the guests in the living area upstairs. We chose to keep the access door locked and only those staying in the bedroom to use it. The location was absolutely the best as it was a 2 minute drive to the closest grocery area and 5 minutes to many shops, restaurants, etc. Excellent stay!!!

The location was great!! The house was for sale so it seemed that they were not making repairs or keeping up with the maintenance of the property. The kitchen items were missing or too old to use. However the setup of the bedrooms and baths was great. We enjoyed the decks on each floor. We did use the pool but it was very cold at the end of September, and the hot tub was a better choice for us. Overall it was a comfortable place.

This was a great house for our family - 6 adults, 2 kids & 2 dogs. So close to the beach that we could go over in the morning, take a break & walk back later. The layout of the house gave everyone the privacy needed. A couple things are a little dated, but everything was functional. The pool was a great size. We'd definitely come back here.

Kitchen needs a new refrigerator,we couldn't put things on the door they'd fall thru. Need a 4 slice toaster the toaster oven took to long to make toast. The Teflon pans are scratched REAL Bad probably shouldn't use them, found one small skillet okay, hard to make eggs for 7 people plus make fried hash potatoes with the same skillet. Need more than one oven mitt. The kitchen faucet leeks real bad when you turn it on. Other than that the house was GREAT!
