Description

Make Misty Blue your vacation sanctuary! It's close and convenient to beach access, but located in a quiet cul de sac of Ocean Sands. Warmly decorated and equipped for the entire family to enjoy. A swing and hammock on the porch allow for evenings of relaxing after a long day in the sun, or read a book from the large library. Enjoy meals on the screened porch just out from the kitchen/dining room. Bikes are available for a tour around Corolla. Front loading washer and dryer. Only 200 yards to the beautiful sandy beach access and oceanfront.

"This was our first trip to the Outer Banks. The Misty Blue was great house, exactly like the pictures. We loved the house. Spacious and comfy. Close to the beach, Timbuk II and shopping. We felt like we were home. The dishes were the same set that we have. Pet friendly was a real plus. Our dog loved the house. This was a great house and a great vacation. Beach Realty Kitty Hawk Rentals was great to work. I hope to go back again some time in the future."

Best time ever at Memaw’s Beach House per grandbabies!

Misty Blue was perfect. The house was spacious and comfortable. Upstairs gathering space allowed space for grandbabies to play and adults to gather and talk. Walk to beach was good especially with wagons to carry everything including grandbabies!

Nice House for a Great Vacation

Misty Blue was a nice house. We stayed for two weeks and had a wonderful time. No place like the Outer Banks. The location is a little farther from the beach access than we expected. One of the pathways to the access was now blocked by a new home so you have to go around.

The house was well equipped with most of the necessities. There were a large selection of beach chairs and bikes. There was also a corn hole game which hadn't been mentioned in the amenities.

The beds were not particularly comfortable. The bed in the master upstairs bedroom was on wheels which allowed it to move around. No closet in that room either, but who needs a closet in the Outer Banks??? One odd thing... there was no broom. A Swifter would have been useful too.

Spring Wedding Vacation

It is a very cute home. The kitchen had everything you could possibly need. There was an assortment of games and movies for those rainy days that can happen when your at the beach. The house is a little older but has plenty of charm.

Nice Annual Trip to OBX at Misty Blue

This house fits our needs well. They have some bikes, boogie boards and kids beach toys. It is a short walk to the beach. There are a couple of things they should fix like the fan in one of the bedrooms and the lock on the upstairs door next to the kitchen; however, its a nice place to stay and a good price.

Nice Stay

This was our 5th year staying at Misty Blue. We really enjoy it. The location is excellent only a short walk to the beach. They have bikes and beach gear there so you don't have to pack as much. It is also located in nice cul-de-sac so the kids can play and ride their bikes. They updated some of the furniture in the living room and put on a new deck this year. We have been quite pleased and it is a good value for the money.

2nd year at same location

This was our 2nd year staying at Misty Blue. The house is a good fit for our family. Distance to the beach is adequate. Small home in cul-de-sac with 5 houses. Generally quiet. The house can use some minor fixes. The upstairs bathroom toilet needs a new flapper as I had to fix it about 5 times in a 2 week period. It would be nice if all the bathrooms had working locks and the tv in one of the bedrooms on 2nd floor hasn't worked for 2 years now. Otherwise we were happy and have already booked the place again for next year.

Our tenth year was another year of fun

We had a great visit. We came the week after the disastrous rainfall. The weather cleared up two days after we arrived. The house was clean and in order (Missing the basketball goal that was listed). The house took care of all our needs. We have already booked the same location for next year. The bicycles were a nice addition although many of them didn't have tires in working order.

The house was the perfect size for my family to share. We had only a short walk to the beach. The kitchen was well equipped. We were disappointed with the one bathroom. It had a Jacuzzi tub, but not a shower. This meant we had to share the other 2 showers with 8 people. We had the 2 children shower outside.

The home was nice, just as pictured and had a nice layout for our family. We appreciated the gated decks for our dogs. The house was clean and comfortable and was a convenient location. The Wifi was unreliable - worked sometimes. The grill didn't work well and wasn't clean.

I went on the internet to do a search with no previous experience of looking for a vacation rental. We hit the jackpot first time out. We could not have had a better experience! The staff, the house, the location, everything. I guess the only thing was that the internet was on and off. But hey, really? Who goes to the beach to look at the internet?
I highly recommend Beach Realty. They were pleasant and friendly. I highly recommend this area.
We chose to go in the off season, so it was much quieter, and that was great.
Nutshell...we had a fabulous time, all the way around!! Thanks so much Beach Realty!!

House was good but ran out of propane one of the toilets were loose and not repaired when called.house was a little dusty and there were some dog hair on the rug Drain in one shower was plugged but was prompletly fixed the first day.

Very Relaxing!

Very nice house with great porches and comfortable living spaces. The queen bed on the middle floor was very comfortable. We didn't end up using the jacuzzi tub, so I can't speak to that, but we did cook a lot - though the grill was out of propane - and we did enjoy the porches and the closeness to the beach. Great to have the beach cruiser bikes available, as well as a wagon, umbrella, and other beach accessories in the shed. The location was very close to the grocery store, though this section of Corolla doesn't have a dedicated bike/walking lane on Rt. 12 so I had to ride the bike along the road.
