Happy Our - C7065

Overall happy house was as expected.

Positives- pool, 3 blocks from the beach, hot tub, pool table, actually 5 bedrooms not 4, 3 separate living a areas so good for a few families. 3 king beds, 2 twin and 2 bunks. Kitchen fully stocked, open main level so good for socializing, loved the rooms had balconies.Cute exterior, outdoor shower was great, love the location close to Corolla shopping, love the large driveway. It felt safe for kids to play. Volleyball was a nice addition.


Cons- this is an older house which gas been updated but it does need some TLC. The bedroom ceilings need a paint job, the doors are hard to open and close in the rooms, bathroom shower faucets need replacing, they should leave extra clorine for hot tub and pool vacume. The storm door needs replacing. The thermostat might be broke said it was 74 but felt cold, pots and pans need replacement, the dryer does not dry this was a huge pain and alot of electrical outlets outside need fixing and r dangerous. Need to add a pullout coach. TV access was a huge pain. All tvs were locked I have never been to a place that locks everything they should allow you to login to your own account atleast.
The trash was over flowing when we arrived had no where to put our trash and it didn't come until Wed we arrived Sun. They really need to do something about the trash this was a big issue. The propane tank was empty we had to go buy more and get reimbursed. The pool deck was dirty upon arrival with trash, hair, sand in pool, hot tub not working we had to call pool maintenance they did arrive promptly but felt this should of been done before we got there. Doors windows need to be cleaned bad

Note- bring your own towels 1 each isn't enough,
The walk to the beach isn't horrible 3 blocks and there's a walking path close by but if you have a handicap person like we did not the easiest access to the beach. We got a golf cart but they don't allow you to take the path which i

The house is adorable and perfect for a small group. It is nicely decorated and equipped. Kids loved the games, we all loved the pool and decks. A bit musty at times but otherwise a great deal. The owners take great care of the property. BTW, Beach Realty is wonderful to deal with - special shoutout to Whitney!

The Happy Our home was the perfect size for our family. We had a great week. As a senior citizen it would have been helpful to have had safety bars in the showers for stability. Upon arrival, we felt the upstairs living room furniture could benefit from a steam cleaning.

Happy Our was a great place for our first family vacation to OBX. I was a little nervous about how well the kitchen would be stocked since we planned to cook most meals (past reviews mentioned lack of quality cooking items), but we were pleasantly surprised! The owners obviously listened. We had everything we needed. I agree with previous reviewer that the two upstairs bathrooms should have the faucet handles replaced in the showers.

Beach Realty was wonderful too, they made everything so easy with all of the information they provided via email/text. We would diffidently rent this house again and use Beach Realty.

Really enjoyed our stay here. Location good near the beach path, liked the pool. Only thing that should be taken care of is the shower fixtures in the one upstairs bath should be replaced. The spout has a hole in it that could cut someone.

The Happy our house was perfect for our family. Loved how the bedrooms and bathrooms were split upstairs. Also the master bath downstairs had a separate entry door so that it could be accessed without having to walk through the bedroom. We loved that the house was well stocked for a baby with the high chair, safety gates, toys and books. Our only concerns were with the trash pick up. Both cans were full when we arrived and we had to wait a few days for them to be emptied, so our trash had to sit outside. Also, we could not find how to access the surround sound system outside. Previous ratings mentioned poor ac... we did not have that issue, in fact it was chilly some nights! Loved the house, but plan to find a house closer to the ocean next time to avoid the walk. There are stairs to get to the beach, which was kind of a pain when you have beach carts and baby things.

The layout of the house was nice. It was an easy walk to the beach and had nice amenities. It needs a thorough cleaning as there is mold in all the bathrooms and on the living room walls. The owners vaulted the living room ceiling and it’s impossible to keep below 85° during the day.

Happy Our was perfect for our vacation! It was a great open house with plenty of space for all of our quests. The pool was very nice and the added heat made the temp perfect. It was conveniently located to many of the local stores and the beach was just a short walk away.

The location was close enough to grocery stores, restaurants, and local activities. We truly enjoyed our time here. We also had our grill run out or propane during the stay, and had a very timely replacement from the rental company for a tank! We were very impressed with all interaction with Beach Realty.

We had a great time at this house it worked perfect for our two families which totaled 12 people including the kids. Just a short walk to the beach this would definitely be home I would look into purchasing as a beach house for myself. Definitely recommend, The only negative is the wellhead community does not have golf cart paths to the beach you have to travel miles up and down in the golf cart to get to the actual beach walking was no problem though

This house is in a great part of Corolla out of the shops and stores but a decent walk to the beach with little kids although its manageable. It was very clean and good shape but as a cook the kitchen is very under stocked. Only two measuring cups and spoons, old and dull knives, a broken cutting board, two old and small baking sheets and no baking pans and other useful cooking implements. All of that I could get over but the fridge does not have a working ice maker and the glass in a shelf is broken/missing rendering that shelf useless unless you can find a box to put over it. With multiple families sharing the house it makes it difficult when a large portion of the fridge is unusable. Excluding the kitchen, the rest of the house is great, the pool table and lounging area on first floor was great for the family and the pool and hot tub outside was also a hit with the kids. Overall a good experience.

Happy Our provided a home away from home for our three families. It's deceptively larger feeling than the pictures communicate. The walk to the beach wasn't too bad and the house provides a cart to assist with lugging beach stuff. I'll echo previous reviews that indicate a need for better outdoor furniture and kitchen stuff. The kids loved the pool table (after we glued the missing tips back on the sticks), and everyone enjoyed lounging around the pool. The AC upstairs had a really hard time keeping the house cool though the weather was VERY hot, while the downstairs stayed very comfortable. The amenities were as outlined.

The Happy Our offered a great space for our group of 10 adults. Early check in got us an extra half day at the beach. Beach Realty staff were very helpful. Pool was awesome as was the hot tub. Place was clean and TV/sound systems updated. Could use updates to the outside furniture and kitchen ware. Overall a great place and great value.

The house was great as far as the layout. Bedrooms on the upper floor for the adults, and the entire lower floor was fantastic for giving the young people their own space and sleeping area! The pool and hot tub were great, but the owner needs to provide newer and more outdoor lounging and seating chairs. The house had two decks, but also needs newer furnishings to enjoy that space. Overall, the house gave us a great place to gather and enjoy time with our family.

Relaxed home with everything you need for a fun vacation. Love this place!

Great location, space was perfect. Rodent and big problem, but no other complaints.

We had a great time in Corolla. The house was decorated nicely and the kitchen was well stocked. It was only a short walk to the beach.

Change rental to Sun-Sun. Traffic was horrible.

Overall we had a wonderful stay at Happy Our. The house was perfect for our party of 12. My only issue was that the pool furniture could have been in better condition. It was old and fragile plastic. The pool guy was also not very friendly. He had a bad attitude.

This home offered plenty of space and a great place for the kids to hang out in the basement. They loved the pool table, big tv, sand volleyball court and corn hole. The walk to the beach was pleasant. We would recommend this house to other larger families.
