My Good Life Rental Review
We are 2 Grandparents renting with our family There were 15 of us with food to refrigerate. One of the refrigerators doesn’t keep food cold. It works on and off and lets food get ruined and unsafe to eat. That refrigerator NEEDS to be replaced!!
The hvac vents/filters need to be cleaned.
We had a nice stay, but would never rent this house again with that faulty refrigerator.
I would only recommend this property if I knew the bad refrigerator was replaced. Doesn’t stay cold or freeze ice

This really was The Good Life
Our mini family reunion of 11 really enjoyed our stay. There were a few problems that were addressed to our satisfaction. The location and amenities (pool/hot tub) were first rate. However,the dishwashers were not up to speed leaving mounds of water to wipe up when unloading. The kitchen was well stocked. The trash pick up and check out time directions contradicted themselves but we figured it out. I would stay here again!

Awesome time at the Good Life!
It was the 4th time staying at the Good Life. Love the location and the house! We were a party of 13 and the dogs and had a wonderful time! Kitchen is well stocked! It was too cool too use the pool this time, but the hot tub was really nice! Would recommend the Good Life! We went on the Wild Horse Adventure tour, and saw lots of horses and two babies. Went on the Magic Bus and saw 8 bears! Went to Dirty Dicks and Jolly Rogers for dinner! Can't wait to stay here again in the future!

La Buena Vida indeed
We were the first of our party to arrive and we delighted to discover no one still cleaning up at 4 pm and the combination sent us by Beach Realty opened the door right up. The elevator got us and luggage upstairs and we settled in on the top floor which offers a wonderful view of the ocean, dunes, a local pier and a huge vista of sky. Lots of windows and lots of porch and deck space with plenty of chairs. The living area provides seating for even large groups (we had only seven people). The kitchen is well equipped, with two refrigerators, two stoves, two microwaves and even an air fryer. Rooms were comfortable and beds were just firm enough for a great night’s sleep. All had bath, shower or a combination. The game/recreation area on the lower floor offered pool, fussball, tv and dvd viewing. Also another refrigerator, coffee maker and microwave. Swimming pool was already warmed. Everyone in our group commented on how comfortable the home was. House was clean and the Wi-Fi worked well. While we like trying different places, this would be a home we’d recommend and would happily return to.
Was there a downside? We are all wine drinkers and found the plastic wine glasses deprived us of some of the pleasure of drinking a good bottle. Some of the sliding doors were very difficult to open and would benefit from lubrication. We didn’t watch tv but would have appreciated regular cable or satellite service instead of ROKU on all sets. HINT: If you’re a tv watcher, bring your Prime and Yahoo passwords.

Over all A Wonderful Vacation
This was our 3rd time staying at the Good Life! A few little things that we noticed, the Pool Table couldn't be used, as a couple of the pockets were not there. The foosball table wasn't usable, because one the rods wasn't working correctly. It hasn't been usable on any of our stays. Because the beds are high in some of rooms, one of our party, was hoping they would put a chair in the room. Also, no way to control the speed of the fan in one the 2nd level bedrooms. All and all, it was a wonderful time at the Good Life. Upon checking into the house, we were able to meet the house Owner. She is very pleasant, and really liked our Shelties! My favorite house in OBX!

Perfect multi-family getaway.
We enjoyed our stay at Nags Head. We had 16 people of varying ages. The bedroom set up was perfect for us. There was plenty of seating. We were able to use the grill for easy meals. Everyone loved the pool and hot tub. The views were beautiful. We loved being beach front and lucked out with the weather. We would recommend and definitely stay again.

Another awesome vacation at the Good Life!
We had the most awesome two weeks at the Good Life. They added a baby gate across the stairs, and it worked wonderful. Adding the screen door on the porch was great! I do wish they could get grass in the dog play area, as our dogs won't potty on the rocks. Our favorite place for a vacation! Can't wait to stay there again! Everybody in our party, just had a wonderful time at the Good Life!

Aside from a funky decor, the place was great. There was enough room for us and all our kids and grandkids. They totally enjoyed the sand and pool. And the fact canny and ice cream stands were close. They loved the aquarium. Sunrise were gorgeous.

Great House!
We rented this house for us and about half of our wedding guests. It was an AMAZING week. The house had a lot of great amenities and you really can't beat the location. We had an awesome week and made wonderful memories.

The owner's daughter, Chelsea, had a rehearsal party on 10/10/2020 and it was AMAZING also! The food was catered on the Oceanfront, 2nd level, with awesome pool and ocean views! The pool area was an open bar set up and desserts were served on the 3rd level. You can't beat the number of restrooms, either, 8 full and 2 half! A fun fact about this home: The 3 murals in the top living room were beautifully painted to spell out Chelsea's full name! We can't wait to welcome you back for your first anniversary!

Living the Good Life!

Beautiful Views; Excellent Vacation
We come to the Outer Banks at least once a year. This was by far the largest home we have ever rented. The home is nice, spacious, plenty of room for a large group. Having a bathroom with every bedroom is AMAZING! It's nice to have the startup necessities when we arrive (paper towels, toilet paper and soap). Loved having the bed linens and towels included, definitely saves travel space. Pool was Awesome! Hot tub was nice. We love to the huge kitchen was great...however, the lack of kitchen pots and pans (no small saucepans in the entire house)and kitchen gadgets was a little disappointing. Some people may come to the beach and never we can see how it may not be as important to some as it is to others. Beautiful home, great amenities and ocean views/access! Would definitely consider renting again in the future! Thanks for sharing your home with us for our stay!

Fall Vacation
We have stayed at this house before and once again we had a wonderful time! The house is located in a great place close to numerous stores and restaurants. Staff was quick to address and fix a maintenance issue. Hope to vacation here again in the spring.

Awesome House and location, one of our best vacations
We had just an awesome time. A couple of small things, like, their isn't an outside door on the porch, which was challenging making sure the dogs didn't run out, when somebody went on the porch. And the laundry ( dirty bedding) was left in the elevator. We called the office, but it didn't end up getting picked up. But as a whole, everything was GREAT! Just love the house and can't wait to rent it again!

Big Family Trip
Our group of 18 (ages 2-70) stayed in this beautiful home last week. It was fabulous. Location could not be better and the beach was great. The house is very large and all of the beds extremely comfortable. So nice that every bedroom has it's own bathroom. The kitchen is the most well stocked we've seen. The two refrigerators, sinks, ovens, and dishwashers really came in handy. Lots to do within walking distance. The pier restaurant is a must, as is the pizza from the Lucky 12 right across the street. Only a few small maintenance issues which were quickly resolved. I can't say enough about this great property!

Awesome week long vacation
This was on my bucket list to do with my kids and grandkids and we had awesome time. The house was perfect and any problem I emailed Elaine at Beach Realty and she would respond quickly and have someone to the house almost immediately to address the request or problem.
We were disappointed the hot tub wasn't able to be repaired until 2 days before we were to leave, and the pool was very cloudy, but that didn't stop the grandsons from having a blast in it. A few things the owners could add to the house would be slow cookers, crockpot and a large pot for seafood boils. Other than that I wish we would have had a few cleaning supplies so we could keep up the glass dining table. Most people don't want to buy this as they wouldn't use much, but if provided would tend to keep things cleaned. Thanks for a great time at this beautiful house. My only suggestion to anyone is to utilize the realtor and email them with any concerns. Otherwise they won't know of a problem. Don't give a bad rating if you have not addressed the problem first and then if it wasn't taken care of reviews can reflect that then.

The house was very spacious and the views were wonderful. Walked the beach every day with my dog. There would be alot more to do and see in warmer weather. It was perfectly located between our two favorite restaurants, The Kill Devil Grill and the Blue Moon Beach Grill and right by the Nags Head fishing pier. I would suggest changing out the pedestal sinks in the bedroom baths for storage vanities so there is room to put your toiletries. There were a few minor things wrong when we arrived but were taken care of in a timely manner by a wonderful staff, especially Josh, the maintenance guy, who took the time to talk to us old folks. And it could've been a little cleaner, but all in all we had a great time.

Fantastic Fall Week in OBX
For over 25 years I have been coming to the Outer Banks and I honestly believe that this was the nicest property that we have ever stayed in. Beach Reality was a joy to deal with and The Good Life rental lived up to its name. The interior is beautifully decorated and the numerous amenities, (pool, hot tub, and game room) kept everyone busy. A wonderful Good Life
Great location, Wonderful cottage, only the living room sofa was uncomfortable and needed a good cleaning or replacement. All other furnishings very nice and the master bedroom bed was very comfortable. Is there a perfect cottage, no, but the Good Life comes close.

Anniversary Getaway
My husband and I enjoyed a fantastic vacation at The Good Life (La Buena Vida.) It is a beautiful house with priceless unobstructed views of the ocean. My only complaint would be that the view out of the front window is not quite as picturesque, as it is located on the Beach Road directly across from a bar. Unknowingly, we booked our vacation during Bike Week in Nags Head. The bar seemed to be the most popular destination spot for the Bike Week crowd. It did not ruin our stay by any means, but all those bikes revving their engines at the same time can get pretty noisy. Vroom! Vroom! Needless to say, if you're looking for a relaxing getaway just be aware of the events going on in the area before booking your stay. The pool was fantastic, the hot tub was steamy (although the jets were not very powerful), and the house was very clean. I usually feel the need to disinfect everything when I go on vacation and that was not the case with this house. This is a great property and I would highly recommend it to anyone going on an adultcation or a trip with the whole family. Lots of fun amentities to keep the grown ups and the kids entertained!
