There are covered porches and a quaint sun room facing the ocean. It's the perfect spot to catch up on a good book or just take in the views of the Atlantic. Deluxe Hot Tub with optional colorfully lights, adapter ONLY for Bluetooth, and MP3 Player. Each of the 80 jets can be adjusted by twisting the jet for full effect, lower jet action, or turn jet off. The hot tub is conveniently and privately located in a covered area so it can be utilized all year long, rain or shine!

OBX Vacation June 2024

The house is a bit dated but that's to be expected from these older oceanfront homes. The location is perfect. In the middle of everything so getting to our favorite restaurants and stores was very easy. Really like that you can turn around in the driveway so you don't have to back out onto the beach road. One thing to note for the summer of 2024. There is a new home being constructed on the adjacent lot to the south. They start work at 7am every weekday. So expect lots of hammering, nailing, sawing, etc during the day. The house was probably about 1/3 done when we left so I would guess at least another month or month and half of construction. We were up early every day so it didn't bother us. But it can get noisy.

Any Weather at the Beach is better than being anywhere else!

Our vacation was great! The weather started out beautiful but by Wednesday it was awful. We found lots to do inside while the wind whipped up to 35+ miles per hour. Board games, tv watching and playing cards. We also made good use of the fabulous hot tub on these days. With lots of restaurants and shopping so close by we couldn’t help but venture out, even in the messy weather. All in all we made lots of memories, laughed alit and ate way too much.

Thanksgiving Week 2022

The house is nicely decorated and the location wrz the community, amenities, etc,. is excellent. (We like this KDH area.) The house did have some minor maintenance issues about which I will communicate more with the realtor. Our main issues were (1) a strong pet urine odor (we always rent pet friendly houses but this was the worst odor problem we have encountered in dozens of rentals); and (2) the fact that you cannot see the beach or even the surf from the house or the beach-side porch. We realize owners cannot control growth or movement of the dunes, but we enjoy sitting on a porch watching the ocean and the beach, and from this unit that is impossible as the dunes now stand. Even when you go out the walkway to the (now partially sand-covered) platform with nice benches you still cannot see the beach and the surf. Have to walk further onto the dunes before you get an ocean view.

Location is great. Close to grocery shopping, etc. and roomy for the two of us and our dog. Covered deck was great and wooden walkway to the beach was great. Mattresses are ok but the living room couch is awful. If you have back issues this is not the rental for you. Plenty of pots and pans, dishes and glass wear. Could us more teaspoons as there were only 2. House was clean but kitchen floor was a little sticky. Found roaches 2nd day. Called rental agency and exterminator fit us into his day. He was super nice and said we paid good money to rent the house so we didn’t need roaches running around. Took care of us! Had a great weather week, met nice neighbors but would not rent again mainly because of uncomfortable furniture. It’s an older house and that really shows in the bathrooms.

We had a 3 families together with 4 toddlers under 4. This home was spacious and had all the essentials. The location was great and you didn’t have to leave the property unless you wanted to venture out. The beach was good but a little crowded at peak season. The property managers were responsive to all our needs that needed addressed during our stay.

The Coleman's Beach Front Inn was the perfect house us.

Our family had an amazing week at the Outerbanks. The Coleman's Beach Front Inn was the perfect house for our family. We loved our private walk way to the beach and was able to be from the house to the beach in less than a minute. The house was so comfortable, we made good use of the hot tub and the swings. Nice kitchen with everything you need to prepare meals and the best views.

Amazing Stay - Great Family Home

This home is perfect for a family that wants to relax on the beach. We totalled 7 guests and there was room to spare. It is close enough to all of the action while also being far enough away to not be part of the crowded public beach. Would highly recommend!

The website was easy to use and the house was easy to book. The house is in the absolute best location and the size fit my family's needs. The fish cleaning station, extra refrigerator and keep
Large porch were added bonuses! The only thing that could be improved on was that the house had a strong pet urine odor. That made it feel/smell like it wasn't clean. That would not stop us from renting this house again because we loved everything else.

Our Stay at Colemans Beach Front Inn

Overall, our stay was excellent! We loved the property and the view, and the location was central to all we wanted to do. A 20 second walk and we were on the beach! The property is aging and could use some updating, but everything was functional with the exception of one window blind and the inner handle on the screen door. Minor inconveniences!

We love Coleman's

This is our second stay at Coleman's. We bring our dog so options are limited but after seven trips to the OB this is the first dog-friendly house that we came back to. Great location, roomy home with a covered hot tub and a very nice, private outdoor shower. The front deck is new. Our boys love the basketball hoop out front. We'll be back next year.

We had a great stay. The interior of the house is older and the furniture is old. Once you get past that, you can't beat the location of this house. Plus, the house is well equipped - large hot tub, outside shower, 2 showers on deck, plenty of chairs and tables, laundry room. The only complaint was that the quilts that go on the beds were not clean and full of black dog hair which got all over the clean sheets. Otherwise, I highly recommend this house. We may go back in the fall.

Winter Gathering

November is a slow time for vacationers on the Outer Banks. Very easy to get around and see things. The Coleman House was as expected. I think it was comparable to other properties of similar age. For the cost, it was a good value. That said, there were some things I would have like to have seen fixed or in better repair. Nothing that required a call to the property management company, Beach Realty of NC.
Make sure you think to bring or buy all the things you will need that are consumable including paper towels and toilet paper.
Overall, a good experience and we hit good weather.

On the ocean front, walk out the back door and feel the breeze! Rain? No problem, hot tub under the house. Location close to restaurants (check out the Lone Cedar on the causeway and happy hour at Nags Head Fishing Pier) and shops. Love that we can bring our fur family with us to walk the beach. Wonderful house and great location!

Had a great time and the house was just at promised. When not at the beach, spent most of our time out on the back deck. Great place to get out of the sun for a bit and nice and cool at night. We didn't need to use the sleeper sofa, which was good. It would have been a tight fit if it was pulled out. We arrived after hours and the rental office called early the next day just to make sure we got in and everything was O.K. I would rent from Beach Realty again. All and all a great vacation.

The house was in a great location not far from anything you would want to do. OBX Winery is only .4 miles away and they have some amazing wines they make. The OBX Brew Station is with in a mile and they have some amazing food as well as great beers they Brew. Anything you would want to do is with in a few miles. The management company is great very nice and professional.

Great Beach house for a family!!

We loved this cute beach house. It was perfect for our family and young children. Our dog loved it too. Very clean and well stocked. The view is awesome!

Long distance family members came to stay. Local and nearby family members were back and forth. Plenty of space for everyone, great amenities, organized kitchen, centrally located to activities and restaurants. Would do it again should it work out.

Great Place to Stay

We were looking for a place on the beach that would allow us to bring 2 dogs. Coleman's Beach Front Inn did. We had an amazing time. The kitchen is well stocked with appliances and the beds are very comfortable. Beach access is perfect and its walking distance to the Jolly Roger restaurant. We were privileged to meet the owner the last day and express how much we enjoyed our stay. The from at back deck allow you to watch the sun rise and set and the hot tub was relaxing.

Great cottage in a fantastic location. Loved the covered rear deck overlooking the ocean for reading in the afternoon and the hot tub under the house! Enjoyed Nags Head Fishing Pier Happy Hour with 15 cent shrimp. Jimmy's Buffet was crab leg heaven and of course, she-crab soup at Sam & Omie's. The pups enjoyed long walks on the beach with us. Already put in a reservation for next year!

We loved this cottage on the beach! From the cozy bedrooms, the updated kitchen, large family room and boardwork out to beach we love it all!
