On the BEACH
Great house although living area was somewhat small for 10 people. The pool was great for small children and a quick dip to cool off for adults. The walk to the beach access was not bad at all, maybe 5 min.
Housekeeping could have been a little better, beds looked like sheets and bedspreads were thrown on but beds themselves very comfy. House could use a few updates. Laundry room outside is somewhat of a inconvenience and carport was in need of cleaning. Blown off or washed down. Overall great location and views were awesome!

Clean vacation rental.....great layout and location

Nice property but not as clean as we would have liked
We found this place to have a great layout for our family's needs. The two master suites on the top floor were perfect for the 2 sets of grandparents and the middle floor was great for my son's family. Except for the fact that there was no dead bolt on the door leading to the middle deck. Our 4 year old grandson could open that door and go out whenever he wanted to. We ended up moving the couch in the pool table room in front of the door to keep our little ones safer. Better child locks would be nice in a house that advertises good for kids with highchair, gates etc. The title On the Beach was a little misleading since there were another row of houses between us and the beach, although overall we were pleased with the close proximity to the beach and beach access. However, the living room furniture was very uncomfortable. Needs to be updated. Sat very low and was very saggy. The kitchen cabinets were terribly dirty. We ended up taking all of the dishes out of the top ones, washing them all and cleaning the inside of the cupboards. I found leftover food and dirty dishes. The floors could have been cleaner also, but I do understand it's difficult at the beach, not to have sand in the house. The pool was small for the number of guests the house could hold. Needing to go outside across the driveway to do laundry was also a negative. The stairway down to the driveway was very dark at the bottom and difficult to see. Plus it had a terrible musty smell. However the pool man that came to service on our check in day was awesome. He emptied the hot tub and provided us with fresh water in their which was super nice. Overall nice place and location but could use a little maintenance.

Very Good Experience
We annually rent a vacation beach house with family and friends, either in the OBX, or MD/DE beaches. This house was the cleanest and in the best condition of all the houses we ever rented. The location was great. This was the first time we rented a house that wasn't beachfront and we were worried using a public beach access would result in a crowded beach. However, that was not the case. walking distance to restaurants and shops.

First time visit.
This was my families first time at the OBX. The house was beautiful and the location was great. However one of the bedrooms upper master was covered in dog hair prior to our arrival. There was some sheets laying on the ground in the same upper master. The window shades weren’t darkening so everyone was up around 6 am due to the sunrise. Overall the house and stay was beautiful. Ample parking .

The view and everything was as pictures and described online. Excellent layout and very open and bright space. Easy beach access and close to awesome dining options. The house was great. The only problem was the pile of dirty, towels from the previous week. They made the lower stairwell smell terrible so we moved them outside where they sat for another 3 days. I sent multiple texts and it was finally resolved with a couple phone calls.

The home was very clean and ready for us at the appointed time. The home has all the amities that you need plus more. The third floor balcony Was very comfortable and had great views. The hot tub on the street side was great to relax in at night and watch the traffic or the waves hit the beach.
The new mattress were great and we all had a great nights rest every night.
The house sits right next a restaurant so it is very convenient for lunch or dinner. They have a one or two person band on Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights.
The restaurant closes at 9 so it is not a disturbance.
The fishing pier is close by and a Duck Donuts is a short walk from the house.
The only problem we had was sugar ants in the kitchen. I notified management, but nothing was done. I picked up some ant killer and took care of it myself.
The hot tub and pool guy stopped by during the week to make sure the chemicals were good in both.
The new mattress were great and we all had a great nights rest every night.

Our vacation was Great ���� just a few problems. Upon arriving the driveway and underneath the house was flooded and laundry room and pool, they cleaned up But it was still a mess stuff laying around, I think we left the place cleaner than when we got there. The place is awesome But needs some updates like nails coming up on the deck and steps, A MUST more frying pans!!! the table and chairs in kitchen getting wobbly, New mini blinds to replace some of the broken ones. Other than that the place was great and we would stay again .

A Week at the Beach
We had a great time at this property! No complaints overall. A little sandy here and there, but that's to be expected. The bathrooms could've used a deeper cleaning in areas. A lot of dirt and hair left around the toilet and sinks. Very accommodating overall. Really enjoyed the upper deck and pool along with the music next door.

PARADISE IN KITTY HAWK
We thoroughly enjoyed our week vacation at the ON THE BEACH property. tt was clean, spacious and just right across the street from the beach access.
The pool was cleaned 2x during the week. All of the appliances were functional and the kitchen was stocked with all necessities.
The washer and dryer are on the ground floor in a separate structure from the house by the pool. The appliances were new and clean.
The rental company Associates were quite accommodating.
We will definitely rent this house again and use the same rental company.

On the Beach in August
The size and bedroom situation was perfect for our party of 8. Access to the beach was great. Location next to restaurant gave no problem but the noise of air conditioners was a bit bothersome at night as well as ceiling fans being noisy. Some family members who require very dark rooms for sleep wished the shades were a bit darker. The burners on the stove seemed to need cleaning as even boiling water sometimes set off the smoke detector. This house was fine but we all felt that our last two houses, Mystic Memories and Cape May were a bit better equipped.

With the beach access being less than 50 yards to the beach, it makes for convenient accessibility for our younger and older guests that don't want to walk so far. Run Down is the perfect spot to grab a quick snack on the way back from a long day at the beach. We will speak with the cleaners with regards to cleaning the burners. We are certainly sorry you experienced that as well as the rooms that were too well lit.

Our vacation
The house was everything we were looking for. It was well stocked and The beds very comfortable The location was good and the view fantastic. The only complaints I have is that we were promised the house by 4pm and we had to sit outside with our belongings until almost 5 to get it cleaned and inspected. I understand that the house is pet friendly which is no problem with me as I own dogs myself. However, the house was full of dog hair even in the beds.

Great house
Pool, hot tub, pool table, PS3, ocean views, short walk to the beach. Kitchen has everything you need. Amazing DVD collection. Tv in every bedroom is a bonus for me time before bed for everyone. Only thing that can make it better is a screened in covered area over the hot tub to the house up too to keep the mosquitoes out on rainy days and evenings after it rained and there's no wind and also a gate at the top of the steps on the front steps since it's a pet friendly house.

Beautiful home, great location!
Gorgeous, spacious home, great location, terrific amenities. We enjoyed our stay at this home, the music from the bar next door was a nice addition and not at all too loud, and ended at 9 each night and could only be heard outside the house, not inside. Everything was exactly as advertised and overall we have no complaints,but prefer Nags Head, so we will check there for homes in the future. Thank you for sharing your property with us, we had a wonderful time!

A week in June 2016
Great house! Carpets could use a good cleaning. Some cobwebs/dead bugs around lightening and Windows. Microwave wasn't working correctly. Lots of dishes and dinnerware. Bedrooms are great size! Pool and hottub were perfect (hot tub did leak underneath to the bottom deck so don't plan on hanging out or leaving anything under it!) Wear your shoes to the pool, the gravel is brutal on the bare feet! Lots of bathrooms. Great washer/dryer units. Great location! Was concerned about restaurant being right next door; but it was a blessing. Amazing food and service. Great music to enjoy while on the deck! Wasn't chaotic or inconvenient at all. Overall would recommend this property!

Awesome
My/families experience was great. The layout of the house was perfect for our needs. It would've been helpful to have toilet paper,a roll of paper towels and a garbage bag there when we arrived but all worked out ok. It also would have been helpful to no that the pool was stained brown (not dirty) I felt bad calling in maintenance only to find out it was stained. The pool taker was very nice and professional and retested all the chemical levels and they were all perfect. I would definitely recommend this property to my friends and family. My family truely enjoyed our stay thank you so much.

On the heels of Hurricane Joaquin!
House was inviting and clean. Kitchen could use an update by adding some conveniences like a crock pot/ and some additional cookware. Overall, very nice accomodations and would recommend to another family :)

Annual vacation on OBX for family & friends
We rented this home the first week of August and had a very enjoyable time. Keyless entry would be an improvement as the locks were very difficult to operate. Lower stairwell could use attention, especially ventilation & carpet cleaning.

On The Beach July 2015
This is our 7th trip to the Outer Banks and this ended up being one of our favorite houses! Very easy check in at the realty office, gorgeous clean house, and plenty of amenities to make it feel like home! The only thing that would make this better was if it was ocean front. Other than that, we couldn't have asked for a better stay!

Loved the house with the pool and pool table. Wonderful location! The laundry room had clothes and and dirty blanket in it. It wasn't cleaned. There was spots on the carpet. It could use a new stove. But other then that lived it!
