Family gathering
Grandparents,kids and grandkids all enjoyed the pool and hot tub. Walking to the beach with lots of gear was a bit hard on hot days, but had a short walk to the sound access for paddleboarding and sunset. We enjoyed our 2 week stay.

Great Time at Banana Republic
Another great week in Duck, NC, at Banana Republic, our second stay there. Plenty of room, nicely equipped, with views of both the ocean and sound, a great place to relax for a few days. Having a pool and hot tub right outside the door makes it even more desirable and fun. Can't wait to return!

Dated but friendly...like a kindly old aunt one visits often...
House was bright and friendly in atmosphere...some what dated kitchen but well equipped with all the dishes, pots and pans one would ever need...pool was nice but wasn't heated as we thought it would be...the hot tub was nice to soak in. The house was in a great location not far from the ocean and the crow's nest platform gives one a nearly 310 degree view of Sound and sea with great sunrises and sunsets. I would rent the house again. The internet service is fast and reliable and supported 4k streaming thru the devices we brought and plugged thru the TV as well as wifi signals were strong via our phones no matter where we were in the house...WIFI 4 protocols and link speeds to the router at about 300mbs. Internet connections varied between 10 to 80 mbs down and 4 to 20 upload with good latencies. 4k streaming capable with no lags.

OBX Family Vacation
We were very satisfied with the condition of the home along with the amenities. The family vacation included our 4 grandchildren and 6 adults. The beach was within walking distance and Duck is a quaint bucolic little town. The house itself was clean and well-kept. The pool was heated and the outside BBQ came in handy. Overall, we had a great time!

Everything about the house was great. Close to beach, upper deck hot tub, great pool, and plenty of space. We loved how we could access the pool from the upper deck from outside. Something our other rentals didn’t have. Also, the crows nest was perfect for sunsets. House also had a great supply of beach equipment. Our only issue was cleanliness. House was very dusty. Visible dust on ceiling fans and near ceiling ac vents.

Amazing house, beautiful pool and short walk to the beach
Banana Republic was a dream vacation house. We shared it with one other family but could have easily accommodated a third.
There were plenty of bathrooms, ample living space, multiple decks which included a hot tub and a large, clean pool.
We cooked meals together and there was ample seating for our party of eight in the kitchen. We often enjoyed breakfast out on the deck.
If I could point out any suggestion to the realty company, although minor, they would be to add a gas grill rather than a Forest preserve type charcoal grill, there were no kitchen towels/rags provided and no hair dryers so we had to buy two while we were there and the tub did not drain well in the shared hall bath. I emailed the realty company on the second day about the dish towels and about the cable TV not working in one of the bedrooms but I never heard back during the week we were there. It is very different working with this realty company versus working with a direct home owner because the response time is not quick by any means. My last suggestion to the realty company would be to take inventory of the kitchen as there is a lot of mismatched miscellaneous items in the cabinets.

The house is amazing, we really enjoyed our stay, very well located, the pool, the hot tub, the views, are amazing, the house is very well equipped (kitchen, towels and linens). Unfortunately, we did have an issue with the garbage, the prior tenants/cleaning crew left a huge overloaded smelly trash can at the entrance of the house, even though we spoke several times, the office did not send anybody to take care of this and we ended up picking up garbage that had spread all over the floor overnight :( The person in the office was very apologetic but they should have taken action. Probably this was a one time thing... we still liked it very much and would go back....

Great house for family fun
Our stay at Banana Republic was very enjoyable. Very walkable to the beach and a pool for a change of pace.Many inside stairs but 5 grandkids, 4 thru 11, had no trouble navigating. 3 Master suites gave each couple privacy. The 2 bunk rooms were perfect for the kids. On the same level as the parent's rooms. Plenty of room for dining inside and outside if you choose to. It was very hot during our week so we stayed inside. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes and utensils.

Easy access to beach
The pool and hot tub were beautiful and clean. The home was nice and clean, air worked great. Kitchen was adequate. Views are beautiful. Very close to the beach. The owners brought a delicious cheesecake to the house to welcome us which was very sweet of them. There was not a lot of clutter in the home, easy to clean up before we left. Recurring customer of The Tree House Coffee! Recurring customer of Norbanks for banana boating and jet skiing, very close to the home.

Banana Republic 7/9/17-7/16/17
We had a family vacation with our kids & grands and it was AWESOME. The house was perfect, pool was wonderful, & the beach only a short walk. The beds were comfy & the kitchen well stocked with dishes, utensils, etc. One of my sons watched the sunset every night from the rooftop deck & the view of the sound & ocean from there was beautiful. Beach Realty is the best with a friendly and accommodating staff. Definitely will return to Duck in the future.

Great Spot
Impressed with the level of cleanliness upon arrival. Layout of the house was perfect for the 3 families we had there this week. Loved the pool/pool deck. Overall, fantastic.

Great vacation/beautiful home
First I would highly recommend Beach Realty and Construction, very nice and accomdating staff upon check in. I found the home to be nicely maintained and clean! I also found the layout of the home to be highly desirable, with beautiful views of the Currituck Sound. The walk to the beach is very accurate-200 yards. The pool for this home is a huge plus, larger than homes that I've rented from in the past. Banna Republic is conveniently located between Duck and Corolla which means you can visit the Mustangs/shop/eat or do activities on the Sound/Ocean side. The way that this home was built, you can see both the Ocean and Sound. The home also has very comfortable beds, which most rentals do not have. I would definitely recommend this home.

A Great Beach Trip
We had a great summer vacation trip. The house was great and the description/photos are accurate. The house was in good condition, clean, the beds were comfortable, and the kitchen was well stocked with tools, pots, etc. We had everything we needed to feel comfortable and at home in the house. The pool and hot tub were great fun for the kids.
The owner was also very kind and even dropped off a cheesecake!
The beach is very close by - less then a 5 minute walk. We would stay again and recommend the property to others.
If I had one wish it would have just been that the house needs a larger tv in the family area. A small thing - but the tv seems oddly small. Other then that one little thing...I would give it an A++.

The cheesecake is certainly by far the most favorite amenity that any owner gives their guests while on vacation. Clean, well kept house
Banana Republic was a very clean and well-maintained home and provided all of the amenities you could want on vacation...great, big pool and the AC worked great even in the 100+ degree heat.

Wonderful Beach Vacation
A great time to get together in Duck with grandchildren, daughters, son in laws, to celebrate the summer. Beautiful home, well maintained clean refreshing, fabulous pool.

Banana Republic May 2016

A good week.
It was good but the house could use some improvements such as new dishwasher, new comforters. The comforters have not been changed in 20 years. We had early check in but actually got the keys a bit late. After paying $200.00 additional the house should be ready when expected.

I could not expect more from renting Bananna Republic. The house felt like "HOME". The pool was heated and enjoyed after long days spent on the beach, refreshing. The Hot tub was an additional night cap. The views were spectacular. My only draw back was the distance to the beach however the exercise was a plus. Many thanks to the owners for the delicious Peach Cheesecake!!! We hope to be back next year.

Great Family Vacation
We loved our trip staying at the Banana Republic. The homeowners were very gracious. The house was very clean. We had only two issues (wasps near the hot tub and a tv not connecting) and the realty company, Kitty Hawk, was VERY prompt both times. They came out the same day and fixed both issues quickly. I was impressed. The house has great views from the decks, a wonderful pool (nicely warmed by roof solar heat) and great hot tub. All around few complains. It'd be great to have a second fridge for cool beverages, but its otherwise rather well equipped. We had plenty of room for us all, and loved the stay. Decent distance to the beach (only half a block) and the provided cart made it easier. It was also a decent close proximity to fun attractions in Duck (loved the Sugar Shack and Duck Donuts and of course Sunset Grille).
