We’re thrilled to share all the exciting live music events happening on the Outer Banks! Whether you’re looking to relax by the beach or chill in a cozy backyard setting, there’s no shortage of local talent performing at fantastic venues across town.

From the lively fishing piers of Kill Devil Hills and Nags Head, including Avalon Pier and Fishheads on Nags Head Pier, to more off-beach spots, the OBX is filled with great locations for music lovers. Jack Brown’s and The Brewing Station in Kill Devil Hills are known for their outdoor seating, offering live music under the stars with a fresh ocean breeze.

Kitty Hawk’s Art’s Place is another top spot for live tunes, and further north in Duck, you can find great local acts at The Tap Shack and Duck Town Park Amphitheater. For more waterfront vibes, check out Sunset Grille & Raw Bar or The Village Table & Tavern, both offering live performances by the water.

Heading up to Corolla, catch some live outdoor music at the historic Whalehead Club during their summer concert series, or stop by Mike Dianna’s Grill Room for their music festivals and events. Corolla Light Town Center is another local favorite for summer music gatherings.

The Mustang Rock & Roast event in Corolla, part of the Mustang Music Festival series, takes place in October. This event blends live music with a fabulous food experience, featuring an oyster roast and a barbeque cook-off. The Mustang Music Festival series is known for celebrating both food and local talent, and the October festival is a highlight.

Moving south, Mulligan’s Grille and Secret Island Tavern in Nags Head are perfect for catching live music while enjoying a meal, while Fish Heads Bar & Grill at the Nags Head Pier offers live performances right over the ocean almost every evening in the summer.

Two New Outdoor Concert Venues

Check out the expanded outdoor concert space at Morris Farm Market, just north of the Outer Banks. After a successful concert featuring Oliver Anthony in 2023, the venue now hosts big acts like the Marshall Tucker Band and Craig Morgan.

At Roanoke Island Festival ParkVusicOBX has brought major performances from bands like The Beach Boys and 311, making this a top spot for larger concerts with stunning waterfront views throughout the summer and into fall with the Annual Three Day Blue Grass Island Music Festival.

With so many options, the Outer Banks music scene is the perfect backdrop for a summer full of great vibes and even better tunes.
