If you are having trouble with a specific power outlet in the home, one room, or an appliance, follow these quick steps to troubleshoot:
Guest Troubleshooting Videos: Partial Power Loss
1st: Verify if the outlet is a GFCI type. If it's displaying a red light, press the RESET button to ensure only a green light displays.
2nd: Try operating the appliance to ensure it can now receive power from the GFCI outlet. If you are not using a GFCI outlet, or if the GFCI outlet is still not working after pressing reset.
3rd: See if the issue is with the appliance OR if it's the outlet by plugging a different powered appliance into the same outlet or by plugging the appliance into a different outlet that is currently powering a working device. This will determine if it's the outlet, or the device/appliance that is not working.
If you have determined the appliance is not working by testing to see if the outlet powers another device or if the appliance is not operational in a different working outlet, please contact us with a replacement/repair request.
4th: If the appliance is operational in a different working outlet, give us a call, and we will assist with checking the breaker box. If you would prefer to have one of our technicians come to the home to troubleshoot further, please give us a call (800) 635-1559.
