Myra Dee - D0224

Even though we were there during a tropical storm, we had a nice time. The Myra Dee was in a good location to the beach and to the shops around. I hope we can stay again soon!

We had a wonderful, relaxing week at the beach AGAIN! The location is perfect. The house is comfortable and set up perfectly for family time. We have been coming for over 20 years and hope to keep coming back.

House was nice. Kitchen could use updating. Great location. Description said to enjoy your coffee on the bedroom deck, but to do that one would have to stand. Definitely lacked deck chairs, with only 2 wooden ones on upper deck. Built ins are sometimes nice, but lack comfort.

We were very happy with the Myra Dee. It is one of the few small properties left that is semi-oceanfront and a very short walk to the beach. The place was very clean. The beds are fairly new and very comfortable. The bathrooms inside also were clean and seemed to have been updated recently. The double outdoor shower is a nice feature. The kitchen could use an update but it was fine for a beach experience. We had a brief encounter with ants but that seemed to be more an issue of leaving food uncovered on the counter - not a big deal. We forgot to order sheets and towels but Kitty Hawk delivered them in less than an hour. Beach items in the shed were in good order including chairs and an umbrella. The basketball hoop was broken - a small glitch for the hoopsters in the house and something to fix. The outside grille was filthy but I cleaned it thoroughly and it worked very well. WiFi worked fine. Check in and check out via mobile app and the electronic key worked perfectly - very easy. We would stay here again for sure.

Overall good - close to beach access. Beach access bushes 'need' very significant trimming; i.e. access nearly totally blocked.

We LOVE the Myra Dee. It is comfortable and just steps from the beach. Every time we arrive, we feel like we are coming home.

This is a great smaller beach house that is very close walk to the beach. The bedrooms are very close and bathrooms are shared so I would recommend a small family. As you can see from the pictures it is outdated but for the price its fine. They did have new flooring and carpet throughout The kitchen was well stocked with supplies for cooking. The only two negatives was the couches and futon were very uncomfortable and worn and that there was only 1 chair for outside seating. Overall good stay and would rent again.

Wonderful vacation for all three generations! Perfect location. Just concerned that this smaller, older, affordable cottage Will be replaced by another mega mansion :(

This rental is pretty much as described. Close to the beach. Big enough for a couple of families. Except for a couple of things it is perfect.

The location is awesome!!

This is our second year in this house. It is perfect for us - my husband and I, our two kids and 4 grandkids. It was very clean and everything worked well! We love the two outdoor showers. The location is fantastic! The beach is not crowded at all - the neighborhood is much smaller than many of the others in Corolla. We think this house is the best place we've rented in the many years we've come to OBX!

Our family was satisfied with this cottage. We did miss having a garbage disposal and some of the beds were not comfortable- one of the twin beds and the futon in the den. The maintenance was slow to bring us a replacement propane tank for the grill- 24 hours. Other than that it was great.

We have stayed on the Outer Banks for years. This was my favorite house. It is an ocean view house from the top deck. The walk to the beach is very short - just like an ocean front home. The beach is very wide and not crowded at all. The ocean was perfect for all ages. The deck space on both levels is wide and goes around 3 sides of the house - gave us lots of outside living space. Everything worked! The a/c, the refrigerator, every appliance! Two outdoor showers and a clothesline for wet bathing suits and towels! A gas grill and a nice backyard! We will definitely re-book.

This property is obviously well loved by the owners. We feel like we are guests in their home. We have stayed in this house many, many times over the last 25 years and fall more in love with it each time.

A great house with a decent sized backyard to play with kids. A very short walk to the beach. The house layout is excellent for two families looking for a vacation.

We have been using this realtor since 1990 for our vacation rentals at OBX. We would highly recommend them. This is the first time that we stayed at this house, Myra Dee. It was a great house. Kitchen very well stocked. Great views from the deck. Very close to the beach without paying ocean front prices. We would definitely stay at this house again.

The Myra Dee was a very comfortable little place to stay. Located on a wonderful strech of beach, close to everything in Corolla. My whole family enjoyed our time together here.
