The house is in a great location, and was clean and in good shape.

I've stayed in Vacay All Day before (once known as Willie Jon). It has gotten a terrific upgrade and is one of the last few affordable houses in Ocean Sands for a small family/group that is close to the beach (semi-ocean front). It is steps to the path and minutes to the ocean, which is especially ideal to see the sunrise. The house scent was unbelievably clean and fresh when we arrived. We usually expect some salty must or the scent of cleaning products - but this place was the cleanest and freshest house I've stayed at in 20 years. The deck had plenty of chairs and lounges, but could use a small table. The beds were comfortable enough, though I wasn't sure the last time one bed spread had been cleaned. The AC worked great - but the ceiling vents in the bedrooms blow directly on the bed, which could get cold at night. The washer/dryer worked fine. The outside shower is excellent - very good water pressure and temp control. We did not see any ants or pests inside, in contrast to some prior places. The interior furnishings, kitchen cabinets, plates, glassware and tableware were all nice. It has a Keurig and regular coffee maker - both new. The frig was clean and turned out plenty of ice. The kitchen pans, bowls, and microwave seemed a bit dated, but it's a beach house, so no big deal. The charcoal grille is built into the ground and has wide gaps and no cover. It worked fine for fat steaks, but is less flexible for smaller items that could slip through the gaps, and I had to use tin foil as a "top" to let stuff cook. (The house provided the grille tools, but don't forget a lighter - I had to go buy one.) The beach chairs provided by the house were few and somewhat worn, and there was no beach umbrella - so bring your own beach stuff or rent it. Overall, the property is well maintained and remains a great value and location.

This was the first time we stayed in the Corolla area of the obx and we thoroughly enjoyed it! We loved that even the house is not technically beach front, it is so close that if feels like it! Layout worked perfectly for our needs, very clean when we arrived, everything in great shape! I would recommend this rental home to anyone!

This is the 3rd house we’ve rented and by far the best. Can’t beat the quiet neighborhood and beach and yet close to all that Corolla has to offer.

upon arrival the house smelled and appeared clean, which we appreciated. This is our 3rd time here and we saw some improvements. New, very comfortable queen beds. It also seemed l like it had been painted in some interior rooms and the exterior looked bright and fresh. We enjoy the simple comfort and convenient location. We will be back!!

We had a wonderful time. The house was only 1 house away from ocean front, very clean, plenty of room.

My son just turned 30. He learned to walk at WillyJon. We have come to the house 1-2 times a year ever since. The home is beautifully maintained, has a great location and feels like my second home.

This property was amazing! Close to the beach, maybe a 2 minute walk at most! Neighborhood feel, so the beaches weren’t crowded at all. Property was clean and better in person than the pictures show! Would definitely stay here again!

Very good time and weather. House was clean and felt very safe.

There was a storm rolling up the coast, so Tues, Weds, and Thurs were overcast and windy. The surf was the roughest we have seen in the 13 yrs we've been going there. This gave us time to sleep in and rest up. We played some games and watched a little TV. Friday was warm and sunny but still too windy for the beach, other than walking. Saturday was the day! Spent a lot of time on the beach. Found some really nice conch shells!

I loved this home. The outdoor area was clean and had lots of room. The house was well kept and stocked. The internet was slow and cable did not offer many channels, but the stay was great.

We loved the house! The only thing I did not like when we got there, the baby gate that was supposed to be there wasn’t and we didn’t get it until Tuesday. My husband sat in one of the lawn chairs provided and it instantly broke, after inspection there were 4 of the 5 chairs that were broken. They did bring 4 new replacements but one of the legs were broke on them also. Also the weeds were really bad when we got there and on Thursday I washed a load of clothes and put them out on the line and the mowing company came no notice and blew debris all over the clothes, they had to be rewashed. The house was great I wouldn’t recommend light carpet throughout I was constantly following my kids so they didn’t spill anything.

It was great! The house was fantastically close to the beach, clean and comfortable. Nice view of the water from top deck. Beach chairs included was a great help as we did not have to drag them from home! We only had one problem with the linen company and the call after hours but other wise all good!

The house is wonderful. Bright, airy, deck with ocean view and we loved our time there. Being older the short walk to the beach is great.

We had a great time and the whole process of renting this house was very easy! The house was just a short walk to the beach. It was exceptionally clean and well maintained. A great choice for our family which included several children under 12. The area is beautiful, beaches very clean and the kids loved the new water park! We'll be back :-)

Great Ocean View from upper deck. Can't get any closer to the beach access without being waterfront. Perfect for two couples.

This was our second stay at this house. The proximity to the beach for the price is excellent.
It's nothing fancy but we are fine with that. The one criticism I have is that the living room furniture is a bit uncomfortable. Would appreciate perhaps a second recliner and a couch that was more conducive to relaxing.

This is the 2nd time we rented Willie Jon and we just love this house. It was perfect location to beach and a perfect size and price. I would consider having the half bath floor taken out, the smell of urine was really bad and we had to close the door when in the TV area. Also, we couldn't figure out the TVs, how do you watch 1 thing in the living room and watch something different in the den area. Instructions on how to work TV's would be helpful.

This was our second stay at the Willie Jon. It is a real Jem, considering its price and location! Our weather was perfect. Lots of sun, warm water, lots of Dolphins, and no sharks! ?? Willie Jon's location to the beach makes it so easy when you need to run back up to get something or use the bathroom. In other words, you don't feel as if you need to haul everything down in one trip. And of course, the outdoor shower is awesome!! I also liked the easy check in with the door code and not having to go to the rental place - much easier and one less stop- thanks for everything!
