Knot A Care - C7707

The property was in a great location and had lots of extras that made it feel more like home. It was a short 5-10min walk to the beach and close to Timbuck II. The stairs to the beach are pretty intense so be careful for older/younger guests as there is no alternative for accessing the beach unless you drive further down. The pool was clean and perfect for the littles and the outdoor shower was great. There were some small issues with cleanliness such as dirty cooking utensils in the drawer, a closet smelling of urine, and some assorted trash. Overall, for a pet friendly home, we thought the cleanliness was good. The sliding door lock in the midlevel bedroom was broken. The toilet overflowed as soon as we arrived and several showers were slow to drain. They were quick to fix the issues which was great, but the communication was terrible. People showed up randomly with no notice or even letting me know what and when it was done. We found lots of furniture that was broken (drawers with no bottom support rung, missing and loose knobs on dressers, towel bar broken, stools unstable due to broken rungs). The closets had items piled inside and looked left that way from the previous guests. As a side note, the furniture is way too big for the rooms. The bedrooms were incredibly tight by cramming the king beds in. The frames for the beds stuck out into every walkway and after several knee surgeries, I was walking on eggshells to avoid the overally big frames and injury- an actual hazard I'd warn against. The furniture in general needs TLC and I'd honestly have rather had a queen bed and a walkway to move around the room comfortably. All of that being said, we had a great time and appreciated all of the wonderful benefits of the house and community.

The house was nice, however we arrived and the air conditioning on the second floor was broken which was where most of the bedrooms were. It took 2 days to be fixed. No reimbursement was given for the inconvenience.

The house is nice. The hot tub didn't work right, most of the jets are not functioning. We came in to broken glass on the kitchen floor. Minor issues all around but overall a nice spot to stay. Walk to the beach isn't bad at all.

The house itself was great! Plenty of room and bedrooms for our family of 17! The location was a little far away from the beach! We had to shuttle down and then someone had to walk back bc there was no parking at the beach access! The only complaint I had was on Wednesday when we came back the floor in the kitchen was soaked from the refrigerator leaking! I immediately called it in and nobody came the rest of the week! When we left it was the ice maker leaking and it kept everything in the frig wet from leaking on top! I will say on Monday our shower drain was clogged and the repairman was right there to fix it! Overall we had a great week!

This home was warm and welcoming and nestled in the trees and such a short walk to the beach and the pool and hot tub brought lots of fun and laughter! The beds were comfortable and everyone including children all slept well! The kitchen was fully stocked and so was the dishwasher from the last tenants! The gas grill wasn’t too clean and took an hour to clean but our chicken wings were cooked to perfection! We would like to come back soon! Thank you for making our stay a wonderful experience!

We had a fantastic time staying in Knot A Care in Corolla. The location was just a few blocks from the beach so was great. There was plenty of room in the house for everyone to spread out.

It was a wonderful getaway with my family. For our first time the house was ok. It seemed smaller in person than the pictures. I did not appreciate the mold on the 3rd floor shower curtain. My family and i had a wonderful time and will be returning to outer banks. Thank you!

Rental house was nice needs more big frying pans and new shower curtain liners but overall a nice place maintenance should clean a/c returns our family loved the house would not hesitate to rent it again

The house is about two blocks from the beach. It’s surrounded by trees so there has some privacy. There was only one day above the 70s. The hot tub and pool combination was nice. There are a lot of steps inside the property. There are ample dishes, pots and pans. They have a drip coffee maker. The WiFi was inconsistent at times so if you have to do any work, I suggest bringing a mifi or hot spot device.

I reached out to the rental company about the showers being slow to drain on the middle floor. They were responsive and I’m confident it’ll be addressed.

I would book this rental again.

Overall, our stay was good. As mentioned previously, this house is not immaculate but it is tidy enough and the layout is good especially if traveling with teenagers. It was a very short bike ride to the beach and shops - we would highly recommend renting bikes. A few things to note : the Keurig only takes Vue size pods and there is not a large frying pan but there is large pots you could cook crab or a big batch of pasta in. It was wonderful to have our dog along but keep in mind there are a lot of steps to get to the ground floor so if depending on your pup &/or guests they could need a hand.

The property was clean, neat and the staff was very responsive. There were 2 items that I advised them to address the tile coming up the stairs (not glued) and a pool stick that was already broken upon arrival

Overall we had a wonderful time, the location to the beach was great and was easy to access. We used all the house amenities including basketball, hot tub, pool and pool table. Proximity to attractions was also great. One issue when we arrived (which was clearly from the guests before us) was cleanliness -- dishwasher had dirty dishes in it, trash was not put out early enough so cans were full until the next pick up. We also had to request additional towels because there was not enough for the group.
