There is also life guarded beach access two blocks away, and a new park, Meekins Field, with a playground, swings, splash pad, tennis courts, and a soccer field. This lovely unit features a private pool with a spacious lounging area as well as sunny and covered decks. Other outside amenities include a hot tub, an enclosed outside shower, and a handy grill area. On the ground level, you will find a rec room complete with a pool table, wet bar, and TV. The top floor is a large, open great room with lots of windows and vaulted ceilings, which give a very open and airy feel. The large, well-equipped kitchen and dining area join the comfortable living space to make a fantastic family gathering spot. With something for everyone, On Island Time will make the perfect setting for an excellent vacation!

UPDATE: All TV's are smart TV's with the ones in the bedrooms and Rec Room being ROKU TV's where you will have the freedom to access all your personal Streaming accounts.

Great cottage. My only complaint is that when I booked the vacation last November, I entered and arrival date of July 27th and a departure of August3, a Saturday-to-Saturday vacation. The computer-generated contract was for July 28th to Aug 3 thus cheating me and my family out of a day at the beach. I didn't realize until the Thursday before departing. At first I thought is was a clerical error since the cottages are only rented for a week. When I called and talked to Cassey, she told me that the owner had booked the first night of the week I was attempting to reserve.

We enjoyed our stay at On Island Time. The house was spacious- enjoyed the large living area as well as the large dining table. The kitchen was well stocked. The pool was perfect. There were pool toys, loads of beach chairs, and an umbrella. The pool table was an added bonus. It was a short walk to the beach, and also had beach access parking at the end of the street if we
wanted to drive. Lots of restaurants were close by.

Good. Some small condition problems - there were several. Did not request they be repaired or someone come to look at but did call Beach Realty Sunday morning with the list so they knew it was like that when we arrived on Saturday. They were very professional and thanked me for calling. Also, We were close to the main highway which was very noisy early in the morning. Would not rent that close to the main road again. Kill Devil Hills was very enjoyable. Beaches very nice. Also, if we can’t get in until 6p Saturday and must leave by 10a on check out, we should receive a partial refund for a day as we’ve lost a day getting in and then getting out.

Fabulous experience! Very well equipped house! We really didn’t use the pool, but the hot tub was great. We all totally enjoyed On Island Time.

Spacious home with all the amenities you need. We enjoyed staying On Island Time!! The house had everything! I wish there was an inventory list beforehand because we didn’t need to pack a high chair, pack and play, beach chairs, or boogey boards. They had it all! The house was an awesome set up for two families. All of the amenities. Pretty clean. Lots of space. A short 4 minute walk to the beach. Some reviews I read said the smell from the lagoon and the noise from the highway were bothersome. But neither were an issue for us! The response from the rental company were fast. No complaints! Would definitely visit again. Thank you for sharing your home with us!

We really enjoyed the house- tons of space for 8 of us. Especially the nice, open living room on the top floor with the balconies. The location to the beach is nice, however the location to the road is not.
The pool was a bonus for us.
We had a septic issue while on property, and while it wasn’t a highlight and the attention needed to it was annoying, the company handled it right away and were very communicative.

Charming Beach Escape

Our party of 8 thoroughly enjoyed this rental. It is well equipped with everything you need practically. It is also very close to the beach. We brought our own line, but beds and furniture were very comfortable. House has plenty of decks all around for soaking up the sun and there are plenty deck and pool furniture to go around. The rental office was very responsive to our calls and were very helpful to correct any complaints (very minor).
All the appliances and amenities worked (we didn't try to use the grill though).
When the air is still at night there's a faint bad odor by the pool but I think that's coming from the canal.
Overall we loved this house and would book again.

Our experience was great despite the pandemic. The house was perfect and the location to the beach was awesome. The kids loved the pool, and it was the perfect size for them. I do think the cleaning crew could have done a better job before we got there. when looking for a lost shoe, I found dried up doughnuts and other food under the couches and beds - we did not bring any of these foods with us, so i know they were there when we arrived. Otherwise, the bathrooms and everything else was clean.

Third floor carpet wad not vacuumed completely. Cereal and other food still on carpet by couch. A/C worked great and location to beach is good. Swampy area out back from water/lake behind home. It stinks very bad out by pool and hottub mainly in evenings. Couch is dingy and wore out needs to be replaced

Great Home But Room for Improvement

We loved the spaciousness of and amenities provided by this house. The pool was in constant use as well as the rec room and living room. We also made use of the grill and hot tub. The house is also within walking distance to some nice restaurants, bars, and the beach. Something else we found useful was the mini fridge down in the wet bar — it was a bit of a struggle to fit enough food for a week for nine people in the fridge upstairs.

However, the house was not exactly clean when we arrived including dust on the dressers and cobwebs in corners. The couch in the living room definitely needs replacing as we were sinking almost to the floor in some spots. The queen beds did NOT feel like queens — we have queens at home and found ourselves practically sleeping on top of each other because the beds were so small. As you descended the stairs from top to bottom, when you made it to the last platform before the ground level, you’d start to smell an unpleasant smell and there were drain flies on the ground floor. The outdoor shower was nice, but the water pressure left something to be desired and I’m told the showers indoors had a similar problem, I did not use them though.

When we got to the property and noticed the firehouse across the street, we thought that might be a problem. But it really wasn’t and we barely noticed it throughout the week.

Overall it was definitely a great house and a great vacation, but we hope the new owners take the time to make some improvements.

Although the fire department is in close proximity to the house, there is never really any issues with noise. Perk of the Outer Banks, the fire departments aren't "too" busy like in other areas. Perfect Beach vacation house, plenty of open space!

The house was perfect for 6 adults. Short walk to the beach access right down the street or you can park there as well. House had great furnishings, comfortable beds and plenty of space for all. Kitchen was adequately stocked . Pool and hot tub were added bonuses. Plenty of decks but not enough seating, a table would be nice addition . Would definitely stay there again and would recommend to friends.

Fabulous stay at Ocean Villa

This property was just as described. It was clean and worked out great for our family of 7. I did get tired of all the stairs, but would certainly still recommend this cottage to friends. The top floor kitchen and family room were large with plenty of space for visitors. Our favorite restaurant was the Black Pelican. We enjoyed our hike up Jockey’s Ridge, the marine resource center in Manteo, as well as the Wright Brother’s monument. We enjoyed the easy walk to the beach and a week with perfect weather.
