Spacious great room with plentiful windows provides a fantastic vantage point of the changing tides and crashing waves! Enjoy your morning coffee while watching the majestic Outer Banks sunrise. Furnished open and covered decks provide plenty outdoor entertaining or relaxation options. Your teenagers or young adults will enjoy their private space in the lower level teen room, with 3 twin beds and full bath. And don't forget your four legged friends - this cottage allows dogs.

Additional amenities include high speed internet access, access to Community Tennis. Flat Screen TVs, separate teen bedroom, beach chairs, bicycles, picnic table, 150 feet to the beach.

The location is perfect and the layout was great. The beds were very comfortable, but the family room furniture has seen better days. We talked about renting it again next year. The owner's may want to think about a privacy gate where the home actually provides direct access to the beach board walk. This is because we encountered people using the home's hose to rise off.

Like visiting Auntie's beach house

The location was perfect for us! We loved being close to beach access and shopping was nearby. The upstairs deck was our dog's happy place and we enjoyed people watching with him.

As others have mentioned, this rental is in need of upgrades and maintenance. I would describe it as visiting your Auntie's lake or beach house that hasn't changed much since you first visited in 1998, mis-matched silverware, "well-loved" furniture, and assorted left-behind beach chairs. Brand new televisions everywhere, but we were here for the beach and quiet time, not cable and streaming.

We loved this house! It was roomy and well stocked. Some reviews had mentioned noise from the public beach access walkway, but we enjoyed watching the parade of beach goers from our deck! Traffic was heavy, but that's what you get during summer visits.

The Coast is Clear Summer 2023

The location is perfect being right next to a beach access. Some of our family in the bedrooms were able to hear people a couple of nights, but overall not a problem. The house was clean but very much in need of updating (general consensus amongst the family).
Had a couple of questions regarding entry upon arrival and the agency was very helpful.

The house was in a great location, ocean front , right next to the board walk for easy access to the beach grocery stores and restaurants are really close, reality company was very easy to work with and communicated very well. Mattress need to be swapped out in all bedrooms, cabinets need replaced they were half broken when we arrived. The fifth bedroom is not attached to the house which is inconvenient. Overall it’s a nice place great location. , Just needs a few updates especially mattresses.

We enjoyed the house very much. I wrote a separate email describing some minor issues for the homeowner to address. We love the open floor plan and kitchen. The deck overlooking the ocean is awesome.

Woof Pack Gets Fun In The Sun

This house is perfect for folks vacationing with dogs. There is plenty of deck space for you and your woofies to relax, listen to the waves, catch some rsys and bark at folks going back and forth to the beach. Our dogs love this house. Great value for the location.

The house itself is perfect. We had a few issues when we first arrived. The a/c unit froze up, the dryer vent wasn’t hooked up to the outside and the fridge / freezer took 3 days to cool/ freeze. Also the cleaning crew could do a better job of cleaning the place all the surfaces were dusty and sandy, dust and dog hair on the base boards and window ledges, under the beds , couches and behind dressers and nightstands were not vacuumed. The kitchen cabinets had food drips down the front of them.
Other than that the house is in a perfect location from beach and all the stores.

Thanksgiving get away

Family getaway for Thanksgiving. The location of this house is awesome! House was clean and kitchen had lots home essentials. Plenty of beach chairs and the bikes were a nice addition. Property is in need of some updating. There were drawers in the kitchen island that would not close. Duct tape on the microwave to hold the vent together. The bonus room that the description calls a teen hang out was too cold for the kids to stay in. That was disappointing. Also, the chairs on the porch are too low. When sitting in them you can not enjoy the wonderful ocean view. This place could be a real gem with some TLC put into it.

First the positives. the home is in a great location on one side of the boardwalk that leads to a beautiful beach with lifeguards. The home is nicely laid out with the living area upstairs and bedrooms down. The kitchen is very well equipped. The climate control system works well. On the flip side the mattresses, even though recently replaced were uncomfortable. The great room furniture was worn. Being the end of the season the exterior of the home needed a good pressure washing and many screens need replacing. The rental agency was a pleasure to work with quickly answering questions and concerns. Overall we had a great time.

The location of this house is amazing, right off the public walk way. Beautiful large beach with a life guard. The house needs a lot of renovation including new beds and carpet. The 5th bedroom is separate from the house, which is not ideal.

We had a very nice trip. The house was great except the beds were uncomfortable and one of the rooms did not get good air flow from air conditioner. It was clean and so close to the beach.

Great house, not so great beds

This is a great house in a good location. Love the layout of the great room/kitchen area. This is the second time that I stayed in this house and unfortunately I had forgotten how uncomfortable the beds are. I'd recommend that you bring along some sort of mattress topper. The house is right next to the walkway to the beach which is great. But make sure that the people in the two bedrooms on that side of the house aren't light sleepers because it can get pretty loud as people come by.

A memorable family vacation

This was definitely a great place and great location that has given us lots of great memories. The big plus is that it is dog friendly so we could bring our dog with us. On a side note, the dog now seems to be suffering from depression since the vacation is over.

The house is situated on one of the main boardwalks to beach, it gets a bit noisy in the morning as families drop off their beach gear.

Dog-friendly rental

House has a nice open floor plan on the main level and lots of windows. It's located right by the entrance to the beach which is great for convenience, but also means it's busy. So, if you're looking for a quiet place, this probably isn't it. The beds aren't great, but egg crate mattress toppers from Walmart were an easy fix. There was a sour smell in the carpet on the main level when we got there but Beach Realty sent someone out the next day to clean it.

Tough to call, rained all week which made it tough to truly evaluate. House was decent, basement bedroom which was not accessible from main house was kind of weird.

That bedroom on the lower level that is not accessible from the main house is called a teenager room. It's for (trustworthy) teens to have their own space away from mom and dad, or for a couple who wants some additional privacy. Hope you can come back when the weather is nicer!

Coast is Clear Corolla Spring Break 2016

We had a lovely time. I am not sure if the people staying next door to us (709 Spinnaker) were renters from your group as well, but if they were, they were horrible. That is my only complaint about our week. They had kids screaming in the middle of the night and yelling rude things off their balcony. It definitely affected our peaceful retreat. If they are the owners, I guess nothing can be done.

Lovely spot to rest

We really enjoyed our stay here. Plenty of room, great access to the beach, and a fantastic open floor plan. It was great to be able to get away with our dogs for the weekend as well. I'd suggest bringing a pillow as these were rather flat. The beds could stand to be upgraded and the deck is showing signs of wear & could use some attention. All told, we felt it was a great value overall & would stay here again.

Not bad- place needs some work. Lights over the dinning room table leaked during a rain storm. Deck is splintery and has lots of nail pops. Major issue was lack of handicap access to the beach. Had to drive 1/2 mile down the road to get my wife's wheelchair to the beach.
Next time I would get a place with a pool.

The Coast is Clear

Overall, our experience was very nice at the Coast is Clear. Wonderful views of the water, short walk to the beach, kid & pet friendly, linens & towels provided and a great beach to hang out on.

The house was stocked with all of the kitchen utensils that we needed and was spacious enough for three families (one with toddlers).

The house had a few problems like a leak in the roof during a storm, mold on the shower curtains, a toilet that would run constantly sometimes, a yard that was basically overgrown and unusable and no baby gates in spite of what was advertised. These negative items, however, were minor distractions to us since the rest of the experience was very good.

The house was very nice, spacious and in a great location. The worst part was trying to keep track of the keys. This unit should have a keyless entry or a lock box to store the keys. That's the last thing you want to worry with when on vacation is keeping track of keys. Also, the one room is totally separated from the main house - you have to exit outside and unlock the door to access the room. This is fine for older kids or adults, but we didn't realize it was totally separate living quarters. If you didn't realize that when making your reservations and had a young group of children then that would definitely not be a suitable arrangement for your group.
