Shore Fun at Scrimshaw
Very nice property with a great location to the beach. Condo is well furnished on the inside and has everything you need for your stay. As the last review recommended, I highly recommend some new high deck furniture so you can sit on the furniture and still see the ocean.

Our usual visit during last week of June was very nice but the weather could have been better. We have rented this Shore Fun unit 4 times and love it. Can't beat the convenience to beach and comfortable, roomy interior for our group of 6.

Nothing fancy but steps from the beach.
We arrived and it was mostly clean with the exception of beer bottles on the deck and goldfish and water bottle in bedroom. There were a few loose medication pills on the dresser in the bedroom. The carpet is greatly worn and there were pet hairs all over the pillow covers in the bedroom which surprised me because no pets are allowed but owners may have them as there was dog food in the pantry. We removed the covers. The view is pretty from the porch and plenty of seating in both livingrooms. The kitchen is small but had all the things we needed for cooking. The close proximity to the beach was a plus. It met our needs.

Great stay, misleading description
We had a wonderful stay at Shore Fun. It was a beautiful week in a beautiful unit. The beds were fantastic along with the pillows. I wish I could give five stars but we booked this unit based on the photos and the description saying it was the “2nd level” which it definitely the first level. We’ve stayed in other units at Skrimshaw and will be booking those units next time. The view wasn’t hateful but it was not what we imagined. The noise from upstairs was so loud everyone was awake at 5am because the floor above us was awake. Also, the sliding glass door would stick and is extremely hard to close. Overall beautiful week.

Would Stay Here Again
Perfect beach access right down to the beach. The house appeared very clean upon arrival. Kitchen is small but we made it work. My only two minor complaints would be that the bathroom window needs a covering, the stairs to the next level literally look right down into your bathroom. We hung something there for the week. Also, the sliding glass door to the deck sticks badly and is very difficult to close. The entrance also might need a sprucing up, at first glance I was nervous what was inside. There's a really old table that sets by the door and was a little trash by the door. We had no idea this was our entrance because it is not labeled with the house name, just a number which was not given to us. Overall,we had a great week and would definitely stay here again. The deck is large and shaded with a nice breeze and we spent quite a bit of time here.

Overall the place was nice and clean! The only issue was the 13" tv in the master bedroom. It was way too small and dated.
The noise level from upstairs was a lot at times. Depending on who is above you and if they are up all night long you will definitely hear every footstep and it is loud.

We truly needed somewhere to relax and unwind after last year. And this week at the Outer Banks gave us exactly what we needed. Our rental was comfortable and everything we needed. As always Beach Realty was helpful and made our stay a wonderful experience.

great time. Went with family wanted to avoid the crowds. Location couldnt be better, on the beach so short walk, great views. Plenty of room on beach though we went after labor day, may be different in full summer.

Almost required to have a kitchen in OBX slightly off season. This one was a bit small for multiple adults but perfectly managible. Grocery stores nearby.

Perfect week
We had a wonderful time. My in laws joined my husband and my toddler for a few days and there was enough space for us all. So close to the ocean. The only drawback (really the only thing) was that there are 2 condos above so when they spray off after a day at the beach the water splashes onto your balcony. Not a huge deal, but something to note for sure.

A perfect vacation
Every thing was perfect from the condo to the view and the beach. The only thing that we were a little upset about the inconvenience of the workers drudging up the sand. Although we completely agree it needs to happen, we felt that the renters should have been aware of it at time of reservations were made.

Great choice sight unseen, perfect for our family of four!
Everything about the rental met our expectation and more. If we had to give a couple negatives, the kitchen was small, lacked any beach equipment, and the good old pesky screen door that seems to haunt most oceanfront properties was hard to open/close. Layout was great, being first floor you still had a view of the ocean and just steps to hit the beach. Would definitely consider in the future (linen's included would be a nice touch...)

Location, location, location
Our family enjoyed a wonderful week in this very well laid out condo. The location was perfect. The furniture and beds were comfortable and the kitchen was well stocked with all the cooking essentials needed to prepare meals. One feature we really appreciated was the gated deck area as we had two small toddlers. They also enjoyed the games and puzzles when not at the beach. Check-in was quick and simple. Our family would definitely choose to stay here again.

Shore was Fun
Shore Fun was exactly what I expected from Beach Realty. We have stayed with them many times in the past and they've always come through. The condo was perfect for our family and for our stay. Check in and check out couldn't of been easier. We will be back next year

#7H Shore Fun
We stayed a week in July and had perfect beach weather and a very relaxing stay. We have vacationed in the Outer Banks for many years and Scrimshaw is our favorite condo for our small family. This was our first time renting Shore Fun. It was beautifully decorated, had everything I needed in the kitchen and was comfortable. Previously, we have always stayed on the top floor but this second level unit had a great ocean view and having to climb only 1 flight of stairs (loaded with beach stuff!) was appreciated by all. The negatives- the washer and dryer were filthy, some light bulbs were burnt out and worst of all, the kitchen sink and master bath shower faucets had the cold water on the left and hot on the right. To me this is shoddy work, maybe a code violation and a lawsuit waiting to happen. These are all things that can be easily fixed. Overall, a great rental and I would rent it again.

Cook Vacation
This is our 9th year staying in the Outer Banks and our second year with Beach Realty. We are so happy that we have used Beach Realty as our choice of rental agents. The staff is like family to us and we look forward to seeing them year after year. They treat us with respect and kindness always. We can't wait until June of 2016 to come back. Our condo is perfect for our family. It is clean and well maintained. The location is perfect for our family. We just love the beach and local restaurants. Our favorite is Sugar Creek.
