Gone With The Wind - D4250

This is house is on a quiet street not far from the beach. The Kitchen is well stocked, but the cleaners did not wipe it down. Cabinets and counters were dirty. The sink looked like no one had ever cleaned it - gross! the welcome package was supposed to come with a dish sponge but we did not get a sponge. The bathroom upstairs has a broken fan. The ceiling fan in the living room doesn't have remote. The floor felt like no one swept it, so we didn't bother not wearing our shoes in the house. There are lots of pool and beach supplies and the bikes were in good condition (except one had a broken chain). The house has nice furniture, just should have been cleaned better, oh and fix the fan in the bathroom.

A great house. The house is equipped better than any other place we have stayed at. I hope there are no maintenance issues, the rental company will not resolve them.

We had a great time with our whole family (7 adults & 2 kids), plenty of room. The kids liked the play area under the house and the pool. It was a short walk to the beach and not far from Duck and Corolla. Plenty of fun things to do.
The house was nice and fairly well maintained. Loved the covered decks but they need to fix the loose boards. Bathrooms were good but could use some upgrades. The fan in the upstairs bathroom needs to be fixed and a screen put in the window. We don't expect a rental property to be perfect but for the cost I think they should do some updating.
We had a good experience dealing with the Management Company (Beach Realty) and thought they were very responsive.
Overall, we would recommend a stay here.

The house was awesome. Plenty of room for the family. The kitchen was very well stocked and the beds comfortable. The teens really enjoyed the Foosball. The walk to the beach was easy except Grandma may need help to cross the dune. Beach was very nice. The pool was clean and warm. Enjoyed every minute.

I stayed here for a lovely week with my husband and 2 year old. We got lots of beach and pool time in, and made good use of the play area and toys provided. The house was very clean but I wished the outside had been a bit better. Lots of pollen / debris in the pool area and under deck play area had spider webs, dust, and pollen coating everything before we cleaned it off.

The house is perfect for kids with the pool and sand play underneath! All resturants had several hour waits around dinner, other than that it was a good area. The beach wasn't very busy either since it's secluded to the houses!

Our entire family joined us in the Outer Banks. We have perfect weather and very much enjoyed the pool, hot tub, and ocean. The house suited our needs perfectly. We enjoyed all the deck seating and the large well equipped kitchen. A bonus was the large variety of pool and beach items available. We used them all including bikes and wagons.

With many years of experience renting in Duck and Corolla, this hhouse was the best equipped ever. We were a family of 6 adults and 3 young children. The playground at the garage level was a treat with swings, slide, etc. The amount of beach equipment was huge. The kitchen had everything and then some. On top pf this, the house is in excellent shape. The walk to the beach is about 275 years. The drive to Duck is 5 minutes.

We enjoyed our family vacation at "Gone With The Wind"! The fee we paid for housekeeping was unacceptable. The kitchen was not cleaned, the countertops dirty from the last set of guest, the oven had left over food caked to the bottom, the microwave had not been cleaned, the knife block had food sprayed up on it, the freezer had colored ice sticking to the bottom and the extra refrigerator outside smelled of fresh fish - I definitely don't found this "Clean or sanitary"! The grass was knee-deep when we arrived and the garbage cans were still in the front of the house empty. We arrived at the house shortly after 4PM check in time.
There was plenty of room for our kids and grandkids to relax in the house, on the numerous decks, pool area and in the hot tub. The kitchen is large enough for several people to cook, clean up, etc. at the same time. The large table and array of bar stools made eating all at once a plus! The house is located on a private community street. The beach is a short hike from the house. The owners have board games, bikes, beach items, etc for your use. The sand and swings under the house were a great treat for the kids in the evening or mid-day to stay out of the sun. Plenty of parking under the house and driveway for 8 cars/trucks. The age of the house is somewhat apparent, but is overall in rather good shape.
There is a pottery artist located a few houses up with some fantastic handmade items. There is a reasonably priced parasailing, jetski, boat, etc rental establishment at the entrance of the street. We would consider staying here again!

This is our first time staying in Duck NC. We usually vacation farther south. We have been converted!! Duck is the place to stay and this home was perfect for our large family. Plenty of room for everyone. Very spacious and within a bike's ride to downtown Duck. We would definitely choose this home for future vacations.

House was very spacious for our family! Loved the very kitchen and pool as well as the short walk to the beach. The owners provided lots of nice touches like games and puzzles. We really enjoyed all the outdoor spaces too! The only suggestions would be to replace the cleaning company because they are NOT doing a good job!! Refrigerator was pretty nasty, cobwebs all over the place, and counters were sticky, and there was a very strong musky/moldy smell downstairs. The outdoor furniture needs a serious powerwashing too. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would recommend.

We spent two wonderfully relaxing weeks in this property. Fabulous, inviting decor and house design with promised amenities. We spent much time cooking, having cocktails, dining and playing games while enjoying the splendid and openly spacious modern kitchen and dining space. Two of the three decks and pool also perfect! We did however, for the third year, have cleaning issues upon arrival and the hot tub was not fixed for 6 days despite tenacious inquiries and request. The owner of property was fantastic and responsive, providing immediate approval for outdoor bug treatment and Nick Morton at Beach Realty is a superstar! Solicitous, patient, responsive and he jumps hurdles to resolve all issues! Bonus is close bikeable location to Duck and three minute walk to beach! Highly recommend!

House was clean, great pool and a short walk to the beach. Numerous beach chairs, beach cart, bikes and sand toys. Great for a family.

We were a family of 13 staying at this location. The house is very spacious, especially the kitchen, living room and dining room. Kitchen is well equipped with dishes and gadgets. House was very clean when we arrived. Hot tub was not working and took a few days for the repairs to be done. The exterior back of house should have been power washed prior to the rental. Overall very pleased.

VERY CLEAN VERY SPACIOUS WILL STAY AGAIN. WOULD LIKE TO RECOMMEND PUTTING A GATE ON FRONT PORCH SOO KIDS DONT ESCAPE HOUSE. OVERALL BEST HOUSE WE STAYED AT SINCE WE'VE BEEN STAYING IN OBX.

The house was beautiful and super close to the beach, and we arrived to a welcoming note from the new owners as of December 2020. The photos need to be updated to include the hot tub (which was great!) and the old grill is gone and replaced with both a gas and a charcoal grill. In addition to a Keurig, there was also a Mr. Coffee machine. There were blenders, and basically anything you would need in a kitchen for baking or cooking. We definitely brought way too much with us!

The house came with 4 adult bikes but only one bike had air in the tires and the pump was broken. We had inquired about the bikes ahead of the time, but the rental company was unable to provide any information - so bring your own tire pump if you aren't planning to bring a bike! There were LOTS of beach chairs available.

We did have some challenges with the door codes not working, the wrong wifi password was provided twice, and the TV connection in the main room was glitchy, but the rental company responded quickly.

Overall, a fabulous house in a great location. Just a 5-10 minute drive to Duck and easy access to the beach. We hope to be back one day!

Had a great stay, wonderful kitchen, ample bedrooms for our large group, short walk to beach with beach cart available. Quiet neighborhood.

We had a wond erful stay at Gone with the Wind. It was a very nice place to stay. We loved the pool and jacuzzi. It was clean when we got there. The beach was a short walk down the street. There were shops about 10 minutes away that had a variety of stuff. We loved the house and had no problems with it. It was spacious and the table fit at least 10 which was wonderful as we had 12 of us. There was room for around 20 with the bar stools in the kitchen. Overall we had a fun vacation and loved this house. We would rent it again.

This was our second visit to the property and once again, we were very satisfied. We have booked the same property for 2021. This property is ideally situated in Duck and a very reasonable distance from the beach.

Very happy with our stay in Duck, NC, this year! This home had everything you need to make it a perfect stay! Easy access and short walk to the beach...close to shops and stores...the property management company is in touch at all times and that was nice...would recommend this town and home to anyone!

Great time with kids and grandkids, outer banks is full of sightseeing. Having the pool was a bonus to cool off and fun for all.

The location of the rental with respect to the beach, Duck and Nags Head was excellent. The only distraction was the condition of the two pool gates which require replacing and the ease of opening and closing the sliding doors at the rear of the rental. The latter probably require the tracks to be cleaned and lubricated.

This house turned out to be the perfect rental for our families. We arrived on Sunday 6/23/19 and opted for the early 1 pm check-in.

We vacationed with two families consisting of 6 adults and 6 children. There was more than enough room for everyone. All of the bedrooms were large, clean, and neatly decorated.

All of the bedrooms had flat screen televisions and the main living room flat screen was a "smart" television that had access to netflix etc.

The wifi in the house was fantastic so all of the kids could access their ipads etc. with no problems at all.

The beach access was a short walk down a very quiet street. The location of the beach access just happened to be near a life guard stand so it was very convenient to find a spot to set up on the beach. The home did provide all of the beach chairs, an umbrella, and buckets/toys for the kids. There was also two wagons to pulls items to the beach.

The pool was perfect for us. About 5 feet deep on one end and 4 feet on the shallow end. The home did provide pool noodles, and boogie boards for the kids to play on.

The hot tub was conveniently located on the second floor back deck. It provided shade during the day and was a great place for the adults to quietly enjoy some relaxation.

This house was perfect for us and provided a wonderful relaxing vacation. I would highly recommend this house to anyone and would consider renting it again in the future. It was spacious, clean, modern, private, and close to the beach.

Loved it! The house accomondated my whole family and gave everyone plenty of room to spread out in. The house was decorated so nicely and it was a quick walk to the beach. We enjoyed our stay very much!

The house we stayed in was Gone with the Wind. The house was very clean and comfy. It provided more than we needed and that was a great surprise. Several bikes and beach chairs were available and the beach wagon was the the icing on the cake. It was so easy to take our short walk down to the beach with all our things in the wagon. The beds and pillows were extremely comfortable. Kitchen was fully stocked with plates, cups, silverware, pits and pans and anything else you need in the kitchen.

We were looking for a home with an open floor plan to allow our family and guests to hang out and truly share our time together. This home did just that. The decor was inviting and the rooms were comfortable and spacious. The kitchen design made it fun to cook while carrying on a conversation with others on the same floor. We truly enjoyed our stay despite the weather!

In looking for our beach house this year we needed to have a short distance to walk since we were traveling with a 4 year old and 9 month old, and were also looking for a house big enough to host our four person family, my brother and his wife, and my father, along with two dogs. This house was absolutely great, and could have easily fit a few more family members. The pool was especially nice in the evenings as it was in the shade so we didn't have to bother with a sunscreen reapplication.
