A wonderful stay in OBX

we had a wonderful stay in Sea Horsin Around. The walk to the beach was not too bad and the house was close to the grocery store and other shops across the street. Given its proximity to the street, I was pleasantly surprised there was not much car traffic in the actual streets, which was nice with a little one and dogs. It was also nice to take the dogs for walks on the path that goes up along Duck Road since it is so close! The pool was well maintained and nice to jump in after a day at the beach. We stayed in late August and the temperature was just right, and it even held out after some thunder storms and cooler nights. The hot tub was also lovely to use and I appreciated that they were both in the enclosed fence area. We had an initial problem with the hot tub panel not working and Beach Realty quickly sent someone who resolved the issue, which was greatly appreciated. The house itself was well stocked with kitchen items, games, books, etc. The house was very "cozy" feeling and we enjoyed hanging out in the living room. We also appreciated the small office space as some of us had to work a bit while there. We loved our stay and would definitely book this house again!

Exterior of home needs work. Hot tub jets barely worked. pool was great. Going to beach with a toddler was a problem. Would look for a differant location in the future. there is no ocean view

The house was pretty much as advertised. Dresser in one of the bedrooms needs drawer pulls replaced. Almost every one came off. Bathrooms could definitely use an upgrade. Not everybody could have a "hot shower"....water wasn't even close to keeping up with temp/demand. Couldn't use basketball hoop with cars in driveway and not allowed to park on street. Decks are in need of repair. It was a SUPER CLEAN HOUSE, which is most important! Location was perfect. Pool/hot tub/outdoor shower/pool deck was very nice. Grill needs to be replaced....bottom rusted through. We had a wonderful week, and it was absolutely perfect for what we needed.

A great vacation

The location was perfect for us - a short walk to a private beach and closes to a grocery store and ice cream. The house was great - a spacey upper level with two decks, a (small) pool) and hot tub we enjoyed). A lot to do in Corolla - kayak, beach rides, biking, light house, restaurants.

A 3 minute walk to the beach. Quiet neighborhood and cozy house with lots of space. We had 9 people in our park and plenty of room. The house was clean along with pool and hit tub. We had a great week

Fun, clean and near the beach!

So w our family really enjoyed staying on your property! We loved the pool and hot tub as well as how close we were to the beach. The dishwasher did not work well for us and really should be updated!! The toilet on the third floor would sometimes leak when we sat to use the bathroom. The house could use updating but we were pleased with your company getting back to us and trying to fix things. We loved the location near the shopping center, quick walk to the beach and 10 min from Corolla! We would like to stay in a more updated house next time.

The house was great, except the description said 2 rooms had twin beds and only 1 room had twin beds. The listing needs updated, we had asked the management company about the type of coffee pot, games etc. none of their answers were correct!! The location was superb!!! We had a great time. Loved having our own pool and I have never seen such a fully stocked kitchen!!!

Great location to the beach and stores etc. However; the house is a little dated and in need of some TLC both inside and outside. Cobb webs and spiders are frequently seen in kitchen and family area. Some issues with the air conditioning during the daytime hours only ..we were thinking it may have been pre set at a temperature, one afternoon temp was 78 inside, making the rooms very warm. Spacious upstairs is a plus. Both decks are great! Pool is a perfect family size.

Location was extremely convenient....close to grocery, duck donuts & beach access! Accommodated 8 with room to spare. Easy & enjoyable walk to the beach in a small private community of houses. Bonus: Kids had a great time night swimming in the lighted pool!

Family Week at the Beach

Had a great vacation at Sea Horsin' Around! House is in good condition overall, although we didn't notice any "extra" cleaning done due to COVID that pushed our check-in time out to 6 PM. Found some leftover candy wrappers & chip remains in 2 of the bedrooms. Had an issue with tub not draining 1st night, but maintenance came first thing in morning to fix. Location of property and private pool were great! We would rent this house again! One word of caution - sunroom with pullout sofa is extremely HOT so may want to bring a fan or portable AC if anybody going to sleep in there.

Our family absolutely enjoyed our week's stay at Surf & Turf. The house was clean and spacious and not far from the beach or the grocery store (or Duck Donuts). We loved the layout: bedrooms on the second floor, main living area on the third floor gave a nice view out of the many windows. We also enjoyed the bike path and the quick trip it provided to the market and other shops.

It was good and stuff.

The house was pretty much as expected. In need of an update and the beds were all incredibly squeaky and loud at the slightest movement. Location was perfect. Less than 5 minute walk to the beach and a grocery store across the street with walking distance. Duck Donuts in the same larking lot. Other than being due for a refresh to fix up doors and walls, nothing to really complain about. The house was nice and generally clean.

Nice house but would benefit from some TLC

This a good house if you can handle walking almost four blocks to the beach. The location is very convenient to shops and groceries--in fact they are closer than the beach itself. This is unusual in Corolla. There is a traffic light on the main highway to cross to the stores. There is also a bike path nearby that does not involve crossing the highway. Eight people would max this house out. There are two sofa beds in the living areas that could handle 4 more but that would be uncomfortable. If you are coming during cooler weather skip this house because most of the windows cannot be opened to enjoy the ocean sounds and breezes. However, the windows do provide lots of light and nice views although you will have to strain to see the ocean. Furnishings and cleanliness were typical for beach houses of this type except for the carpet which had lots of stains (dogs?). The stove in the kitchen was difficult to use because the burners did not fit and so they were at weird angles. The hot tub works but its location under the house makes it an unpleasant area to be in. We have rented houses for over 20 years in the Ocean Sands development in Corolla and found this house to be good house even though it is a little rough around the edges at this point.

My family and I had an amazing time. We had an issue with the A.C. the next day and maintenance came out that same day to fix the issue. The kitchen was so well stocked. The staff was also very friendly!

The location of the house was great, over all great experience. There was a bit of an ant problem at first, but we spray to get them to go away and I think it's pretty common for the season. Very comfortable and location in between duck and Corolla!
