Vacationing in Duck
The house was in a great location for us. Easy walk to the beach. We liked being in the Duck area. The house was clean. The kitchen had everything we needed. There were 10 adults and 1 child. We had plenty of room. Everyone enjoyed the pool area. Probably would recommend paying the extra money for heating the pool if you go early in June like we did. We didn't have any major issues while we were vacationing. The wifi was sporadic at times. The screen doors on a couple of the sliding doors need new rollers. They didn't open very easy. The house did have some beach chairs. The one collapsible beach wagon was broken. There wasn't any kind of pool accessories like floating devices. Everyone agreed that our stay was very good. The house is a little dated. The beds were comfortable in all the rooms except the master. The whole process of finding the place where we wanted to stay to booking and paying and checking in was very easy. The communication with the rental company was very good. We would definitely use them again. We didn't do anything special during our stay. Went into Duck a few times. Went up to the 4x4 beaches which we really enjoyed. I would recommend this property for a place to stay.

Duck Get Away
Sound waves was a wonderful property. The location was amazing, close to the beach and walking distance to downtown Duck. Only negative was the condition of some of the exterior furniture was not great. Easy fix though, and would definitely stay here again.

Sound Waves Stay 2022
Our time at Sound Waves was a pleasant experience. We enjoyed the space and openness of the home, the full-size washer & dryer, and the proximity to the beach. The kitchen was a nice size for multiple people working around one another and the large table accommodated most of our group. Only downside was the lack of a 2nd fridge. A large cooler with daily ice additions kept our overflow items cold. The regular texts and notifications were much appreciated!

Nice, oddly designed house, great pool
Nice house, we've rented 15-20 houses on OBX in the past. Decks don't connect as you'd expect. To go from pool to hot tub required circling the house. Other than that, spacious comfortable house. Great sunsets, spiders are a thing here.

A Great Vacation Spot
Sound Waves is a great house for a family vacation and we had a wonderful time. The house was large enough for our group of 6 adults and 5 children, with room to spread out when we wanted to, and a large enough space for family dinners. The house was very clean, both inside and out. This was our second year at Sound Waves and we saw some upgrades to the outside, as well as a new refrigerator.The pool is the best! We all enjoyed many hours in it, and it was large enough for us all to be in at the same time.The outdoor shower was a big help for getting kids cleaned up after the beach. The location is great, just a short walk to the beach. We also enjoyed the views from the crow's nest, as well as late night watching for meteors from the decks during the meteor showers that week. We would certainly rent this house again.

There were 3 families who went and stayed at Sound Waves. We had a great time relaxing, enjoying the pool and loved how close we were to the beach!
we would recommend that the pool furniture be updated- the plastic table wanted to blow away several times. Also just some routine things checked in on- make sure there are working light bulbs every where, the nails in the boardwalk out to the pool need pounded back in (over time, they move, I get that). we also would recommend another full siz frig vs a dorm size on the 1st floor- 1 frig for 16 people fill up fast... Overall, we were happy and really enjoyed ourselves!

Much needed family quarantine get-away

A relaxing beach vacation
We had a great family vacation in the Outer Banks. There were 12 of us and we found Sound Waves to be spacious well laid out for our needs. The house was just a short walk from the beach access and a short drive from the town of Duck. We loved the pool and got a lot of use from it. The house was very clean on the inside. The outside decks and furniture needed to be cleaned of dead bugs.

Great Week at Sound Waves!
Our family of 9 stayed at Sound Waves in late June 2019. The house was great, nice decor and very spacious. We had a few issues the first day (missing grill and internet not working) and the rental company was very helpful in getting those issues resolved quickly. The pool for a rental was fantastic. The location was great, about a 7 minute walk to the beach. The only small issue was there were A LOT of spiders. Some inside, mostly outside. Our beach chairs and gear were covered in the critters and their cobwebs each morning. Overall, a very minor detail that was overlooked by the awesome week we had at Sound Waves.

This home was as described by the rental company. Well supplied with kitchen materials. It was clean and a very short walk to ocean access. The pool was well maintained. The hot tub could use a new cover, but everything else was well maintained.

We had a great time while on vacation at sound waves. the pool was fantastic and the house was excellent. we had no issues while at the house. it is a quick walk to the beach. the house was well cleaned and taken care of.

Great vacation!
Perfect Beach house! Quick walk to the beach. The house had amazing views of the ocean. Equipped with everything we needed! Beach carts, beach toys, chairs, floats for the pool. We had a great time relaxing for the week. The only negative I could find would be the lack of a gas grill but we made the charcoal grill work. If we book next year we would just bring the portable gas grill with us.

Great Location
This house has a great location. Very close to the beach and walkable, even with 4 kids 4 yo and under in tow. We traveled with three different families so it was nice for each family to have their own level for living space (bedrooms on all 3 levels). The house was very noisy, however. Anytime anyone walked in the kitchen upstairs you can hear it all over the house, so early risers made their presence known. The house is a bit dated but had everything you need. The pool was great - the kids loved it and it was large enough to swim some laps. We had a mix up with the towels where I had requested 10 sets of towels that were not in the house when we arrived. The rental company very promptly got in touch with the linen service and they provided the towels for us that evening.

Summer Fun
We had a great time. House was very nice. Only disappointment was the hammock was all torn up. Pool and hot tub awesome. Nice views of sound and ocean.

We had a great time. The people at Beach Reality were great! I had 2 things that were bothering me, but can not be changed. There were ticks all over and too many rocks at beach edgefor some activities. Otherwise .. perfect!

Those little critters, you mentioned, are all over and love the tall grasses near the water and hot weather. Among the rocks at the beach if you look very close you will find what is called here on the Outer Banks "beach glass" (beautifully colored objects) which has become a very looked for entity for all kinds of pictures, jewelry and so many other beautiful things, which you will find displayed in most all stores here on the Outer Banks. But as you say, it can be rough when you find yourself coming in close contact with these surfaces while swimming or boarding on the beach. LOVE the beach :) HATE the spiders :(
We had a really nice time and the house was in a great location. Our only problem was the spiders! I have never seen so many spiders and/or webs in my life. We all said it needed a good power washing on the outside. Otherwise, it was great. Rooms were clean, great location and awesome pool.

Sound Waves Review
We had a wonderful vacation. The house is conveniently located with a great pool and five minutes from the beach. However, the house could use some updates:the porch furniture seems old, the screens don't fit very well and a gas grill would be more user-friendly.

Wonderful Home
There were 8 of us including 3 teenagers. They had plenty of room to do their own thing. The location to the beach was awesome. The views were spectacular. We really enjoyed reading up on the Crow's deck. The pool was a big hit. The home had every amenity we could possibly need. The rental company was great to deal with. We had a minor issue with one of the showers clogging and they were there very quickly to solve the problem. All in all we had a wonderful vacation and would definitely rent this home again in the future.

Spacious bedrooms, close to beach and town
My family and some friends stayed here. We had 4 adults and 5 kids ages 10 to 15. There was plenty of room for us all and we enjoyed all the amenities including the pool (nice and warm due to full sun), pool table, hot tub, large screen TV and DVD player with plenty of decent movies. We were only a 3 minute walk to the beach and 30 minute walk to town. The house was nice and clean enough inside. The outside areas could use a little more love.

Nice house
The house was very nice. However there was an abundance of spiders and old webs all over the outside of the house which made it not pleasant to sit outside. It looked like it needed to be power washed because of all the dead bugs around the roof and windows. Otherwise we loved the house, the pool and the closeness to the beach.

We had a great time!!
Overall the house was very nice. Completely furnished with everything you could possibly need. There were a few small items that need some attention inside the house that we have passed along. Great hot tub, and the heated pool option was wonderful. There were seven of us and the house never seemed crowded. I LOVED the crows nest and the view. A very pleasant and short walk to the beach, and it is such a beautiful beach. The little town of Duck is charming, and located very close to everything we wanted to do. I would rent this house again, and would recommend it to any small group. I also wanted to note that the pool was cleaned at mid week as well, which we found very thoughtful of the rental company. We had trouble with our hot tub not heating properly Thursday night, and we reported it to the rental company Friday morning. Within an hour and a half they had someone there to repair it. Even if we need a larger house next time, we will not hesitate to use Beach Realty each and every time we visit the Outer Banks.
