Best Property Ever for our family of 12
We have been vacationing at the Outer Banks for 18 years and this house is our favorite. This was our second year in a row at Mystic Memories. The walk to the beach is very short. The pool is large so the grandkids can actually swim. The kitchen is exceptionally well stocked. And there were no complaints about the beds. We had a wonderful time.

Great house, great location
We really enjoyed Mystic Memories. The proximity to the beach and ocean views from the deck were fantastic. We like a quiet and serene place, and this offered that while still being close to Nags Head. The adults also liked having their own suites and the kids loved the pool and common areas. The generous owners also had pool toys and beach chairs for shared use. Kitchen was excellent and we were spoiled with the double dishwashers. Thank you for sharing this lovely home.

Beach Stay June 2024
The house was great! The house was perfect for multiple families with kids of varying ages. The kitchen was well stocked with everything needed to cook & also Tupperware containers for left overs. The house had plenty of beach chairs & a nice beach cart to haul everything. The kids loved the pool, hot tub & the ring game in the carport. Easy walk to beach. Will stay again!

Peaceful get away
House was beautiful and well organized. We had a great vacation and loved the little gift bag that was left. The house had plenty of room for us to play and relax. There is a great spot down by the community pool to watch the turtles and feed them some fruit. Love the house.

Majestic Memories
This was our second stay at Mystic Memories and we, as before, thoroughly enjoyed it. The site, of course, is excellent witht the beach in front and the secluded preserved space behind. Best OBX Vacation home!
We have been vacationing in the OBX for over 10 years and Mystic Memories is by far the best house we have stayed in. The house is beautiful and very well taken care of. It was stocked with any and everything you could imagine needing for the week. The beds were comfortable and clean and there was great outdoor furniture to enjoy on the decks.The beach access was super close and the pool was great as well! The one and only thing that I would suggest is getting fans installed for all of the bathrooms. There was only one fan in one bathroom. We will definitely be back!

Very Nice House
Excellent. This is our 2nd year in this house and it’s location is great. . The kitchen is well stocked although frying pans are showing wear. Beautiful family getaway
6 adults, 1 child. In turn, we golfed 3 separate locations. Convenient access to the beach, great pool and hot tub, enjoyed seating next to hot tub. Shopped in Monteo, dolphin watch and aquarium. Mini golf, go carts and ice-cream. Hope to do it all again next year!

Another Great Week at Mystic Memories
This is our third consecutive year renting Mystic Memories. And for three years in a row it has been a great experience. The owners continue to make upgrades and modifications to improve your experience. This is the cleanest and most well stocked rental. Unfortunately we will be leaving to explore other areas next year BUT if Nagshead becomes our destination in the future , we will certainly rebook this property.

Our stay at Mystic Memories was very nice. The rental was just as advertised which is hard to pull off. Location was great and accessible to the things we like to do when in the O. Banks. The features of the rental were extremely nice and the improvements were a nice touch. The only recommendation I have is that the upper floor decks had dried out to the point that the wood was splintering. We had a few first side events with our grandkids as a result. I would recommend sanding down and resealing or replacing altogether. Otherwise, it was a magical week and I would guess that our party would be willing to stay there again.

Lovely Home
This is a beautiful home that has absolutely anything you might need. The kitchen, bathrooms and pool area are new and nicely done. If we had one complaint it was lack of ice making and not having two full sized refrigerators. It’s close to the beach and crossing the road is very safe.

Heaven is a place on Earth
This house is an amazing getaway to spend your time however you like. The proximity to the beach was fabulous, but if that's not your thing, the pool and hot tub were outstanding. As for the interior,
it was clean and updated. The layout of the house allows for guests to spend time together, but also allows the space if you need alone time as well. The porches on either side of the exterior let guests spend even more time enjoying the weather. Overall, the house is very spacious and is worth every penny.
One final note, this house was very well equipped with kitchen supplies, different entertainment options, and even essentials for younger children, such as baby gates, cribs, highchairs, and more.

What a great place!
We had a great time! The house was perfect for all three generations of us. We had to wait longer than normal to check in due to the Covid precautions (August 2020) but that was worth it and the house was very clean and well kept. The kitchen is amazing, two ovens and two dishwashers, a large microwave and a very large refrigerator. It seemed like there were two complete sets of everything; plates, glasses, flatware, cups plus every cooking utensil you could want were right there. Due to the virus we did a lot of cooking in house and never wanted for any kitchen tool or gadget. We have been going to beaches up and down the NC and SC coast for beach vacations for over 30 years and this was the best stocked kitchen we have seen. What the heck, it was the best beach house we have seen!
We also did some takeout and highly recommend the food at the Sugar Shack Seafood Market
The living areas and ALL the bedrooms were very comfortable and tastefully decorated. Flat screen TV's in every room allowed everyone to watch what they wanted. The Rec room was great, with a deck right outside overlooking the pool and the Cape Hatteras National Park and bird sanctuary nature preserve. The Grandkids pointed out Herons, Egrets, turtles and they said they saw a deer. You could see Wanchese ( of Wicked Tuna – Outer Banks fame) and the Bodie Island light from the top rear deck.
The beach was within easy walking distance and there were wide sidewalks available for jogging and long walks. The tennis courts were close by and in excellent shape. The community pool was closed due to Covid but we had the private pool in back so the community one was not missed.
You could tell the owners really thought about the decorating and stocking of this property. I also loved that the owner called on our first full day to check on us and to see if we needed anything. Mystic Memories is well worth it!

We had a great stay the week that we spent in this home, but the fridge did not work and we lost all of our foods that had to be refrigerated. We were told that we were going to be give our money back on the food that we lost, but we have not received anything yet. 2019 Vacation a success
It was a great week with the family and fit us perfectly. Beach Reality has excellent service and answered our questions without delays! The kitchen remodel was beautiful and the house had everything we needed! Everyone was happy and the location and surroundings were great. We highly recommend Bodie Island Light house and "The tale of the Whale" to eat. Both were close to our rental. We always enjoy our stay at the Outer Banks!

Loving the outerbanks
We had a great time! The house was perfect- hot tub worked well. The pool was slightly cold for the cool weather we had that week, but it was very clean and well kept. The kitchen is amazing- best stocked kitchen I have seen in the 25 years of beach vacations I have been taking. Love having two dishwashers! Took jeeps out to see the wild horses, and it was perfect

A well-equiped and lovely home away from home
Our extended family of 11 (inclusive of 4 kids 11 and under) stayed here the last week of August. This home was one of our favorites for several reasons: the kitchen was extremely well-equipped (and labeled!), plenty of room for us all to eat at the dining table, wii games (kids loved Mario!), a lovely pool and the closest we've ever stayed to the ocean without being actually oceanfront (the access boardwalk is less than 2 minutes away--no big deal to run back to the house to get a snack or use the bathroom). We would definitely stay here again. A few notes though:
-beds are listed as Queens but they really seemed more like doubles
-hot tub is under the carport which blocks the views/night sky
-maybe consider a sectional or more seating in the living room so we can all sit together to watch a movie (room for maybe 6 squeezed on couch/loveseat and had to pull chairs up from dining table).

Perfect family vacation
We brought 3 families together in this house and it was the perfect place! Location couldnt have been more ideal! House was equipped with everything we could need (especially baby equipment. We will be returning again next summer!

Perfect!
Mystic Memories is a wonderful place to stay and the location is perfect. The owner has gone above and beyond to make sure there is everything you need. The house is very nice and the pool is just perfect. I would highly recommend this for your family vacation.

Awesome place for a wonderful vacation!
All of our family and friends had great time in this wonderful house. This house is located very close to the beach. Food Lion, 7-11, Gas station, Car repair, Outlets mall, Souvenir shops, bike rentals shops all are close by. The house has all the amenities which are required for a pleasant stay. Kitchen has all the pots and pans available for cooking. Swimming pool and Hot tub both were very clean and well maintained. Overall a best place to enjoy and relax when in Outer banks. Definitely will come back to stay in the lovely house!

All the comforts of home plus a few more
Worth every penny!( price was reasonable). Mystic Memories is a well cared for beach house. This was my 3rd time vacationing here. No need to bring beach chairs or umbrellas, or to rent a beach cart! Once again, Mystic Memories didn't disappoint.

We always have a good time. We love the location. We have stayed in this house for over five years; the same week each year.
As we have identified previously, the house is getting "tired," in need of some replacements. In particular, the upstairs mattresses are hard. The wall hangings faded.
However, we would stay in the house again.

Great Location for Relaxation!
We had originally expected a big group at the beach house but it ended up just being 5 of us. We all had a nice big bed to sleep in and had a great time. The color of the house has changed to a light grayish/blue and there was not a foosball table as stated. It would be beneficial for future guests if that is updated. The kitchen was very well stocked and the cabinets were labeled (a brilliant idea). We enjoyed the pool and hot tub all week. The staff at the check in office were so friendly and top notch. We would stay here again in the future.

Friends forever group
This property suited our needs very well. Well stocked kitchen. The beach access was right across the road. Pool was great. Called maintenance on arrival as small refrigerator door was not attached. No one came so we fixed it. That was our only issue. Enjoyed our stay.

Wonderful Family House

Wonder-full
We had a fabulous, memorable family vacation at Mystic Memories. Eight of us in all, seven adults and one toddler. Plenty of room, everything clean,a well equipped and spacious kitchen, delightful perks (pool, hot tub, game room, balconies), all-in-all a deeply satisfying time together.

Great House - Great Location
With 4 master suites, this house was perfect for us. The older folks used the two upstairs master bedrooms, and the younger ones used the downstairs ones. Worked out perfect - the younger group stayed up late playing games in the game room (lots of games to choose from) and didn't disturb us. Really enjoyed having a private pool with plenty of seating around the pool. Easy, short walk to the beach with lots of beach chairs and two beach carts to help transport stuff. Extremely well supplied kitchen and a large dining room table plus more seating around the kitchen counter. TV's in every room, clean bathrooms, comfortable beds. All master suites have access to outside decks. The only negative is that the mentioned and pictured foosball game is no longer there (We missed it, but not a big deal). Lots of restaurants and entertainment within a short drive.

Outer Banks Vacation 2015
Our vacation was fantastic, we enjoyed all the amenities this house had to offer. The wildlife was awesome to watch we saw deer, turtles, birds of all sorts frogs and toads. The pool area was wonderful. The only thing we were missing was the 2nd full size refrigerator. Great vacation by our whole family.

2015 Beach Vacation
Our family really enjoyed this vacation home! It is close to the public access to the beach. We loved the pool, and enjoyed the hot tub.Although the towels/linens were included, we wished we had known ahead of time there were no bath mats (to step on upon exiting the tub/shower). My only recommendation for Beach Realty is that you place a much larger container outside your office to turn in keys & forms upon departure when the office is closed. This is the second year we've left at 6:30 am, and the box is overflowing, then I have to wonder if you actually received the keys & forms, or did they fall out, or did someone remove them?
